It was Tommy Wisaeu, the 'thing they were doing that required standing' would've been throwing around a football. As The Room has multiple scenes of the characters doing that whilst engaging in dialogue. Especially because the interview continued whilst the action was being done. If it was 2017 then that was when Disaster Artist was coming out so he would've gone on as promo for that.

The discussion about the origin of Dink it & Sink it was super cool. I'm attempting to watch every episode of GMM in order and I just watched Will It Pie the other day! Here's another fun fact: The origin of "As you can see, we can't" was in the immediately previous episode, Epic Wrap Battle. Was really surprising to see that the origin of 2 crazily iconic phrases were in back-to-back episodes.

My guess for the filmmaker is Neil Breen, if not Tommy Wiseau. He's VERY eccentric, stars in all of his work, and takes his movies very seriously. He's aware of the infamy of his work, but doesn't want to play into the memes and jokes. He views what he does as serious art, so I can see him getting sensitive to "being made fun of". It prob is Tommy Wiseau, but I'd say Neil Breen is a solid second guess.

Makes sense: - "Eccentric filmmaker" (Tommy is definitely eccentric) - Flipped out when he felt they were making fun of him, and was incomprehensible when arguing with them. (Definitely sounds like Tommy) - The Disaster Artist, a movie about the making of Tommy's infamous movie "The Room" released in 2017 (around the time they filmed this lost episode) - "The Room" has many iconic, and funny scenes they could've re-created (oh hi mark) Doesn't make sense: - Link said the filmmaker has made several films (Tommy has only ever made one) - Tommy is a recluse (would've of been very impressive for them to get him on.
