I've been practicing meditation for years but just recently joined a Zendo in my area. After listening to this video "I" sat for a whole 45 minutes. Thank you VERY much for the insight. In but beginning when you broke down the knower in relation to the six senses something about that resonates with me. I guess many of us need a constant reminder that even the ideas that come into our sphere of awareness that we sometimes identify with, and therefore have a tough time sitting for relatively longer periods of time, can be indifferently "known" as well. The tightness in my upper back that i feel after about 5 minutes of sitting (after my body settles into a heavy lead-like feeling) can be known as well. I just set with it this time without any resistance and though i know it was there, it's intensity diminished greatly. The etymology of the word consciousness was insightful as well.
