Goddess Danu is highly respected Goddess in Rigvedas of Hinduism. Here She is also believed to be the Goddess of waters. Here She is believed to be the wife of sage Kashyapa. Her descendents are known as Danvas. That signifies that Irish mythology is associated to her descendents demigods Danavas. 😊😊😊👍

Steve Noble just released a new transmission meditation just yesterday, that takes the person on a journey with the Goddess Danu, in her mist, to the realm of the Fae, so this popping up in my feed was most timely. It is the most intensely high vibrational dimension. They gave me a garnet ring in Celtic silver binding and fed me high vibrational foods. Highly recommended. It makes being in this realm a lot easier now knowing I can visit there whenever I want.

The frustrating thing about Irish mythology is you can read about it incessantly and still not know anything! I have a comprehensive book compiled by W.B. Yeats on the mythological spine of Ireland; and it's still only boasts one recorded strain of these stories. Celtic histories are just as vexing to get a pulse on sometimes. I did write about the sea giants, the Fomorians, but in the story they're called the Fomori. They're giants because they grow indefinetely and sea giants because they originally were sea elementals that assumed humanoid form using blood magic. The Firbolg are the first human settlers in Eire (Ireland). They live in the swamp "kingdom", the Meath, under the rule of the Wicker King.

Thank you for all the information that you have learnt about Danu. Not so long ago, I was at my altar when I 'heard' the name Danu - spoken behind me. My immediate reaction was one of 'who is Danu? I've never heard the name? '. So I began a search. Funny thing is that a couple of years ago I had learnt that my ancestors, i think Grandparents but cannot be certain, had been ordered from Austria (by the ruler) to settle the now Serbian town of Pancevo bear Belgrade. The transportation method to Pancevo? Down the River Danube by boat! I find that a more than interesting coincidence! Your video has made me feel quite 'at home' with my findings.

In Greece they call her Athena. In Ancient Thrace along the black Sea culture she is the one they named the Danube river after. Also the Duoro in Portugal is the masculine river associated. That's why you see her sometimes holding two snakes. Perhaps she was named after the river. The Denyens were the ones who sacked Troy and Egypt in 1200bc. The Danes or Denmark are also ancestors. The star Deneb is part of the constellation you see on winter solstice sunrise and megaliths older than the pyramids were built for it.

I think we need a more specific term for fertility. It just doesn't hit home and it's in many goddess references.
@CricketSong6 жыл бұрын
I think the term fertility is found in many goddess' references because paganism is centered around nature. The fertility of such is vital to life itself for without fertile soil nothing will grow and life would have nothing to sustain itself with including humanity. This may seem foreign to us of the modern society since all many of us must do to find sustenance to visit our local grocery store, but we all know there was a time when paganism was practiced that this wasn't true and fertility was the thing that stood between life and death.

I heard that we used to be gods and goddesses in the past. I dont know if that is just mythology. Maybe that's why our ancestors have a deep connection with astrology.

She is YOUR mother and Dagda's daughter, not his mother. Dagda is Daksh Prajapati, maternal grandfather (and leader) of Tuatha de Danann. Danube is not Danu, in most probability, she is Danaayu. Sanskrit word for 'Tuatha de Danann' (children of Danu) is Daanav. In some Indian dialects, the word becomes 'Daanna', which also means giant.

Tiamat from the sumerian creation myth, associated with the cosmic sea waters and the cosmic primordial rivers found in the milkyway, and later the 2 flowing rivers of the Tigris and Euphrates, as the hindu mythology goes, she gave birth to both the gods (angels) and demons. Tuatha De danaan are the easir gods, (watchers /annunaki) the fomorians are the jotun giants of norse mythology considered demons of chaos and vanir were the mortal woman which represented the earth such as jord and were associated with fertility. Any deity linked to water would be considered a fertility deity, danu, represents tiamat the mother of the earth, the gods, and the demons. All people once lived together in the fertile crescent Mesopotamia and after the tower of babel was destroyed, mankind were dispersed throughout the earth, taking their ancient Sumerian / Hindu creation myth with them. Sumerian myth became same as Egyptian, than Greek, than roman, Norse creation myth, celtic and so on

It was written in a Catholic Monastery where they tried to mix Pagan and Christian traditions. It is possible the Tu Da Dannon is a warped and altered version of the original story. Especially when they talk about the Milesians descending from Adam

danavas worshiper of river goddess danu were either expelled/lost the war or migrated out side india and settle first in danube ukraine region hence these lang ukranian, russian, lithualian are very close to sanskrit. these ppl then went westwards and named every river as danu till they reached western most point of eurashia that in ireland and settled there. dnipro, don, dnister, dneiper etc etc all there names are corrupted version of danu. most probbaly pre christian europeans knew their ancestors came from india. these danavas could well be yamnaya tribe?

I will have to go back and watch the video. It's been years since I shared the information, but I can say with confidence that within the mythologies of many pantheons there are stories of those relationships between the gods. It is important to keep in mind that much of these mythologies are symbolic in nature.
