Another classic open-world game from 2006 (although this is the later PS3 port from 2007...) but still one of the best crime movie tie-in games along with Rockstar's The Warriors. The melee combat still feels fresh and brutal and gunplay feels great. I do love the way you play a "fly on the wall" character who witnesses the events of the movie "off-camera" and then carries out tasks which link to the events of the film. The "Horseplay" and "Recipe for Revenge" missions are great examples of this! Just a great idea and definitely a classic by EA.

I used to play this game a lot when i had a copy of it and original x box console. I eventually got to become don of new york after micheal corleone moved the family to Nevada. The last time I played this game was in mid 2014. It was cool to have Robert Duvall, James Caan, Abe Vigoda and Marlon Brando (though only for a small scene in the hospital when his character was nearly killed) to reprise their characters from decades later.

So I might be the only one here on this: Up to the mission Now It's Personal, I like to whittle the Tattaglias down to only their compound remaining. Right after that mission concludes, when Frankie dies, I go for the dramatic revenge effect and drive straight to their compound, attack it solo, and destroy it as well deserved retaliation before going after Bruno.

After starting the game, minimize it and open up "Task Manager" - select Details then scroll down to find godfather2.exe. Right-click and go to "Set affinity". Leave only the first 10 cores checked and uncheck all the other cores. The game will glitch when running on more than 10 cores. Once you've done that just maximize the game and it should now play fine.

Hmmm, mine worked no problem. Just make sure you leave "Default Resolution" at 1280x720 and only change the "Resolution Scale" for better quality, nothing else. Set "Shader Mode" to Async (multi-threaded).
