Hi Al, if you can find an employer willing to sponsor you, you can apply for a 482 visa. But being 52 years old, you have very limited options unfortunately.

You do not need to work in the occupation you were nominated for on the 491 visa. This is not a requirement

For points test purposes, yes you may be able to. Regardless if it was regional when you studied.
