@@70s_GenLoverThe 50s surely sucked in a lot of ways for a huge percentage of the people, but they had to have been the best time to be a kid in America. Because of the baby boom. There were just kids everywhere. Of course all those kids would, a decade later, all get either burnt out on drugs or sent to Vietnam to die. Or both. But that’s another story..

90s commercials will always feel like home to me. No matter what. Because they were pretty much the background soundtrack of my life at time. Like for so many others. The life, optimism, fun and beauty. But I wasn't a big comedy central guy at all lol. Felt too weird to watch. So I stayed with TheWB and Nickelodeon.

Same. I mostly watched Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, TNT and MTV as a kid. There's something about nostalgic commercials that make me feel safe yet homesick, I yearn for those times. As the old saying goes, you never know what you have until it's gone.

I’m glad to be a 90’s baby, so many memories to cherish and early 2000’s wasn’t hatful till 05 something just changed with everything… just miss when kids could look at a stick with a handful of imagination. I have children now and when they are older I hope they have as much fun as I did.

I remember my dad taking me and my little brother to get these things, then to the movie just a few minutes down. Dad snuck them in and we'd be eating burgers, fries and drinking soda in the movie. Eating on a budget, no high movie snack prices.

a MOTOROLA PAGER! bringing you yesterdays' technology today from a land time forgot! i remember pagers being THE telecommunications tech. KID ROCK had even rapped about pagers. & the cellphones sold from Radio SHACK that were simply - GASP! - a phone. there are lots of great ads in this set but my fave is the AT&T 'you will' ad. those ads did seem like they arrived from the future via time machine. another banger set, Dave! i miss the 1990s!

I was 22 and in the army in 95. It's weird to see commercials without URLs, archaic cell phones but I could only afforda pager, beverages and food that are no longer made and I think even the women looked better back then too. Oh the nostalgia is strong here.

Ellen Pompano in the VH1 commercial. I don't remember ever seeing a Zima commercial. Kids nowadays wouldn't even know what a collect call is. I had a beeper shown and a similar cellphone in 1997. We didn't get these types of commercials so much where I lived (Northwest British Columbia) they were mostly featured on really American channels. However these commercials played when I visited my cousin in the city (Vancouver BC) when we would watch FOX and a few other channels, totally gives me nostalgia of the summer of 94.

tom rhodes was an 'edgy' Gen X comic in a similar fashion to denis leary who, at this time, had a hit song titled I'M AN ASSHOLE. this kind of comedy is vorboten for today's climate. today rhodes would get skewered on social media for talking smack about river phoenix' O.D. but back in the mid '90s talking smack was sometimes part of the comedy act.

@@poetrich Yep. We'd get those same tired lectures about how it was everyone else's fault but his and he was over prescribed with Benadryl for dogs so that's why he got hooked on to drugs.
