The psychological issues of abandonment and manipulation in this movie were very disturbing. I am an African American female physician who is a primary care physician, taking care of patients since 1982. This teenager girl needed support and a safe place at home and she was rejected and treated like a game piece from the very beginning. As parents and a community, we have to do better.

A great movie just didn't like the part when the daughter couldn't couldn't come back home. I get that the mama didn't want the daughter to throw her future away, but that was hardcore. It felt like almost everyone in this movie saw this girl as a pawn. There was waaay too much pressure on this 16 year old girl. It was as if she had to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. It was still a good movie, but it would of been nice if they let her just be 16. Yes push her to greatness, but in the right way. Not pushing her out where thieves, predators, robbers or anything or anyone could of been lurking outside. Golden voices 1 was still better, but this was good. Keep the good movies coming 👍
