Just done that one today after watching you in this one. I had to stop 1/2 way down after starting at the wall on the top of the bill. My arms and legs were pumped solid after all the battering. Your right, what an absolutely amazing trail that was. All I could say at the bottom was scream out “holy shit, I made it”! Lol while laughing my pads off. Hats of to the builders of that work of art.

Brilliant Craig! Yeah, that trail and Repeat Offender really do test the fitness because of the length of them. It's really nice to have longer trails isn't it! I agree with you 💯 The trail builders are total legends.

I think the numbers after the trails at Caberston on Trailforks are difficulty ratings; certainly works if you read them that way. They appeared a couple of months ago, presumably whoever admins that area added them manually. Really handy though, it would be cool if Trailforks did that everywhere.
@streetpigeonmtb4 жыл бұрын
I had just seen them when I was making the video and I thought it must've been when they removed the old segment and added the adjusted one 👍

Still to explore The Golfie, how would NY NY compare to say Hush Hush at Glentress?

Thats a good question. Quite different trails actually, however similar in skill level required IMO. If you can ride Hush Hush you will be fine on NYNY.

@@streetpigeonmtb i thought flat white would be on your list seems to be the favourite of a lot of riders , they named the city New York twice because it was that good I wonder if that’s how the trail got its name lol.

What time of the year did you go? Went yesterday, really struggled with the mud, mainly down to skill level but I just couldn't get into it.
@streetpigeonmtb3 жыл бұрын
I can't remember mate. It gets ridden all year round. Sounds like it wasn't good conditions for you! It tends to ride best in summer when it is damp. Weirdly all the local trails get faster when they are a wee bit damp as in the dry they get too loose and are a total handful. Did you do any other trails? How were they?

Nice one. The off piste trails are quite a step up from the old trail centre ones eh? Hope you had a good one anyways. There is some off piste stuff at Glentress that is probably a bit easier to get into. Unfortunately mud is still an issue at the moment. Scottish summer time 🤦♂️
