I love riding up and down Loon Mountain on the gondola lift. Been doing that for years. I'm planning on coming in Fall of 2018.

The original gondola was a PHB Hall and in 1988 it was replaced by a Doppelmayr four passenger gondola and relocated to Lutsen. The original tri-pod towers are still at Loon so when it was installed at Lutsen they either bought new towers or reused them from a different lift. That system was finally replaced in 2015 by yet another Doppelmayr gondola.

It's insanely sad that the last PHB-Hall gondola got replaced.

@@teddysliftworld I will destroy the new lifts!!! I hate new technology because it's always built in the exact same way. When I take over as president of EVERY SINGLE SKI RESORT in the world, I will have complete destruction and scrapping and smelting of new lifts and the old lifts will be rebuilt.

@@julianhudson7811 Nice. Hopefully it builds old and exquisite lifts! I built ski lifts in Minecraft but I cannot show them yet because they were saved on my old computer's hard drive which failed because of the repairing disk error message...

Been on this gondola 🚡 since I was 2. Damn, must have rode this at least... 28x4+ winter and summer!

tbh i like the gondola, but it could be expanded to an 8 person one. I don't like waiting in an hour long lift line just to snuggle up with some random stranger.

Whatever any of you do, do NOT EVER replace it. Too many old lifts are being replaced nowadays due to horrible and upsetting new technology...

@@julianhudson7811 Oh yes, I have seen that. That is what new detachable lifts deserve. But not the fixed grips, they still look nice in my opinion. #NoNewLiftsYesOldLifts
