I was honestly more invested in Kate - Anthony - Mr. Dorset love triangle and would rather watch Anthony being jealous than that unnecessary wedding from ep 6. 🙄 I mean Mr. Dorset was really cool character it kinda doesn't make sense that we did not see him after ep 5.

I don't think that Mr. Dorset showed up just because Anthony asked him to. I think he already wanted to meet Kate, ran into Anthony somewhere between Lady Danbury's house and the races, and Anthony told him "Don't let her know that you know me because she dislikes me." Both Anthony and Dorset tried to tell her that there was no plot to keep her occupied, but she wouldn't listen. They did lie, but not in the way she assumed.

About one of your last points: I think that if they played the Featherington drama when the protagonist was Pen then a lot of people would have cared much more, I specifically might have cared. But they had it in the midst of Kanthony's storyline which is so intense that you don't care about anything else. If it was in the Polin storyline, instead, it might have been much more interesting and wouldn't have let me thought I was wasting my precious Kanthony time for a family that I truly couldn't care less about.

My theory on Friedrich is, unfortunately, that it gives an excuse for Edwina to be gone next season and for the foreseeable future because she'd be in Prussia. So we have a better excuse for her absence than Simon's as Kate and Anthony go through life. I would love to see them together, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hopefully that means they can come back for an appearance in a future season when their schedules can accommodate it, though. However many seasons the show ends up going for, I'd like to see all of the couples and absent performers come back to send it off in the final season/episode. 😊❤️✨

Wait that makes so much sense! Carithra has said in interviews that she won't be returning for S3 so maybe the Prince line at the end was to prepare us to not see her in S3 bc she's off in Prussia happily married :'((

I just saw an interview with Charithra saying she won't be returning for another season and run back to your channel cause you were one of the few I saw defending Edwina. But I ended up coming in perfect timing with this new video which made me super happy to see I was not the only one wondering about those "gone" out of nowhere characters. I personally would've liked to see Dorset on the Featherington ball for example, or at the wedding.

Maybe she got booked for a different gig? If there's more seasons coming, maybe she'll circle back around in a future season when her schedule is free to do so. I'm hoping that whenever they do the LAST season of Bridgerton (whatever number that is), we get loads of characters coming back to show that they're happy and in love. If Edwina ended up marrying the prince, it would made sense why we wouldn't see her anymore since he is from Prussia and came to London only to visit his aunt. So Edwina would be living abroad and not be in London where the Bridgerton are.

As for Charithra, I saw a number of videos, the one I remember was from a channel called FMDOS the subtitles are in spanish so I'm assuming it was either a Spanish or Latin America interview with her, Jhonny and Simone. She doesn't say she will never come back (which is what I'm holding onto.) but the difference with the way she talks about not being a Bridgerton crushed my hopes for s3.

Something that made me crazy in S.1 (speaking of Prince Friedrich and his extraordinary gift to Daphne of a beautiful necklace) is that when she ran outside, she took off the necklace, placed it on the stone balustrade, then interacted with Simon when he came out to find her, and ultimately she stormed out of the garden and left. Are we to believe that she left this necklace just sitting outdoors for anyone to take? There was no point (and I watched the scene countless times) at which she retrieved the necklace to return it to him, or do something else with it. This was an annoying detail that the show runners seem to have neglected. Another thing that bothered me was that when Anthony pulls himself up and out of the lake after he and Dorset tripped and fell into the water, was that he was wearing his beloved father's fob watch, which was obviously drenched along with Anthony. In those days, the likelihood of watches being waterproof is probably zero. Yet the watch apparently keeps on ticking through the story!!! Another ignored detail.

This could be just my take but I think that they focused so heavily on the Featherington’s story this season was to set up a possible internal family struggle with the Featherington girls because at the end Mrs. Featherington says something along the lines of when one of her daughters has a son the estate and title would pass to him. Theoretically if the next season is following Collin and Penelope as is suggested that pressure from her mother could cause some good conflict

I love Mr. Mondrich and was so happy when Colin shows up with his guys en masse at Mondrich's gentlemans's club, giving Mondrich and his fantastic wife a huge boost to their business. Enough with the Featheringtons already. SOOOO over them. However, I feel guilty saying that. When I was much younger as was Polly Walker (who plays Mama Featherington), she was a stunning young British movie star. But the unsung heroine of Season 2 is Dowager Viscountess Violet Bridgerton, portrayed to perfection, with subtlety and sheer brilliance by Ruth Gemmell, who has also been around for ages but this is her crowing achievement I think. What a fantastic opportunity for her. And I love her friendship with Lady Danbury who is so brilliantly portrayed by Adjuo Andoh (hopeI got the spelling right).

I for one do not see how Penelope being Lady W and wanting to be with Colin will work especially now that Eloise is no longer speaking to Penelope and knows she is Lady W. Oh and I like Lord Lumly and Mr. Dorset and would like them to be around more. And Will the barkeep is a great character! I honestly hope that the don’t mess up Benedict. Edwina in the show was weird at the growth movement. As EP6 she has gone rough to Kate(agreeable)-->The scene with King George(moment of growth at lv10!)--> EP7 "Was I truly that blind?" make me laugh at lot (seems she still a bit upset of course!) -->In the museum scene with Kate(still in same mood from the day before,well..I got her,poor girl) But At the ball with "Do not dare try to make me out to be the cruel one..(Character growth from Lv10 down to 5!)blah blah :-( was annoy me! I feel the writing striped her development somewhere else?? Until the last EP which has no time to show "how strong the sister's bond" I just have to focus to Kanthony's story and leave me feels pity for Edwina for how lacked of her turning point. BTW,I love the actor who played Edwina a lot.

I do believe Bridgerton intended to have Simon as a part of Season 2 just not as a lead character because they always planned to have a different lead each season. After his success I think Rege Jean Page was more interested in pursuing his new opportunities than in being a supporting character (which is understandable) .He would have probably been only willing to return if he was still a major character which would to be honest have ruined the whole show and embittered the other acotrs.

Very glad that I put this channel on notifications. I seriously wish that Simon was in one episode to show how he is as a father. He could be a recurring guest star, but I don’t know how that works with Netflix. One inconsistency I noticed: Last time I checked, Prince Friedrich was supposedly courting Cressida Cowper but in Season 2, Cressida was single. I wish that they could have mentioned what happened with the two of them.

I don't think he was ever courting Cressida. He was only paying her the polite attention she desperately and un subtly try to get. He was not blind to her schemes and probably not blind to her true character either. I doubt he was ever truly interested in her.

I want them to invest in these other characters coming back because it makes the world FEEL larger. There is more to London than this rich family. If we have to see Cressida each season, wouldn't it make sense that if Edwina is still searching for a match, she would pop in for a short cameo? And they don't even need to take up much air time with it. Will Modrich had minimal time this past season. Or how about Mr. Dorset? He is still a bachelor and ran in elite circles. This ton is but only so large and it would make sense that we would see some of the same faces over and over. I like Will Mondrich and Theo's story because it shows that the world is actually quite large and really heightens the class issues in that world. If we get rid of race issues, it would make sense that the show would double down on class and social status being really important. Simon being gone really set Will's story adrift. By having him actually become close with Colin and Benedict, that brings this blue collar boxer back into focus so that issues regarding class and social status can continue to be explored on this show in the future.

These minor actors are great. I do wish they had room for them in the Bridgerton world of romance. They have really made Sir Phillip likable. All the more for Eloise. I'll tell you that Anthony really missed his good friend to spar off of in Simon. And Will seemed to miss him too. I am hopeful that the source material will be followed more closely but it is unknown what they will do since the second season advanced Lady Whistledown and revealed her. I think this sets up Colin and Penelope's romance next. I think they need more time to mature. Their story takes place in 1824 by the book. As you have said, there are so many things to consider that goes into making a series like this but this program has outdone season one and even other shows. I don't see Bridgerton going anywhere until the eighth Bridgerton is wed and their story told. And of course they are doing a show about the Queen. They even have the actors picked. So that is a go.

Thank you for your indepth Bridgerton content. It is so very much appreciated. I liked season 1 of the show, but I absolutely ADORE season 2. Now, I'm fully on board for the subsequent seasons, especially if the Featherington's storylines are shifted well out of focus.

I'm so happy that RJP got a lot of big movie contracts and opportunities opportunities and he's now a big hit. And I personally don't mind if he comes back or not. He's doing what's best for him and I respect that. I'm way more invested in Kanthony anyway. But I must admit that it's really not a good look on Daphne and the narrative the series is trying to portray that she's supposedly "happy" in her marriage life if her husband is always busy without any family appearances. It honestly doesn't look that way for me at all. Daphne is all about family and she loves her family dearly. If Simon truly loved her, at least he should make a little effort no matter how "busy" he is to attend some family gatherings. Or maybe if he can't make it, he should at least write letters or send gifts to her family when she comes to visit. Perhaps, a pony to Hyacinth or something to show that he cares for his family and his presence is felt even though he's not around. Now, I wouldn't have minded at all if they'd had showed how great their marriage relationship was in season one but I felt that the series one didn't really establish their marriage relationship and it came across as lacking. And a lot of people may disagree with me on this but even after rewatching season one post marriage, I realized that there was little communication between Daphne and Simon. I mean, all they did was to have sex all the time which is understandable because it's their honeymoon, duh? But other than that, I didn't see any real intimacy between the characters. What stood out for me was the scene where Daphne wanted to speak to him one time and he was so busy that he didn't have time for her. It felt as if the only time he did was when he wanted sex which makes me think that their relationship wasn't that strong. And I get that the character of Simon is supposed to be very detached, stoic and reserved but Daphne was his wife, the one he's supposedly in love with. And then, the SA happened which soured everything which was caused by again, lack of communication between Daphne and Simon. And then, Daphne makes this grand declaration of love to Simon and he decides to stay in the marriage and they have a baby and they "live happily ever after." Yeah, no. I really want to buy into that but it's just not giving and it's no fault of the actors. I honestly think Daphne and Simon had chemistry (although not as much as Kanthony) but with the way the writers are showing the narrative, I'm really not buying that they have a healthy marriage relationship. They'll make it worse if in Season 3, Daphne comes to visit her family without any indication whatsoever about her husband. It'll come across as Simon being the uncaring husband.

Listen simply Simon love daphne with all of his heart but he had a duty to the people who lived and worked at Covington house and he needed to help those people iam sure daphne knew this because she ask Simon why did these stay away from Covington house for so long he told Daphne I needed to help these people this is my problem daphne I will talk 💙 to you later and later you saw the farmer telling daphne to thank the Duke when she from a wagon full of supplies ❤ to the farmers , I d know if you read eloise book Anthony told eloise that he was not in love with Kate when they got married but only after she got hurt. And in the book edwina wanted nothing to do with Anthony. And I didn't like Anthony because he wanted to attacked sir crane because it was eloise who came to his house he didn't asked her to come to his house.

We had already seen Anthony with so many other women since s1. How much of that i could be invested in with kate being oh i have to be alone i am 26 but there is no other man in my past and present? I was sooo thirsty for mr Dorset entering the picture. It doesn't make sense they valued Anthony because of his title. And Kate is undervalued because of her family back ground..and i had a hard time dealing with that. Just go and live in a cottage in India with a commoner...why ever not? If Anthony could marry for duty Kate was in more dire need of marriage for "her duty"...scratch that her survival even. That was a major plot hole for me.

On Friedrich: I don't think he and Edwina will end up together, since in real life, in 1817 he would marry Louise of Anhalt-Bernburg and in 1814 which is the year that Season 2 takes place he was romantically linked to Princess Charlotte (although I think they subbed this for him being Queen Charlotte's nephew and then courting Daphne). They certainly could, but idk if they would lol esp considering Edwina does have a book canon love interest but it would definitely be cool if they did!

Shonda said in an interview on the press junket for season 2 that they're not necessarily going to be adapting the books in order and I don't see any reason for her to be bringing that up now unless it's in reference to seasons 3 and 4 (since the show had already been renewed to do at least 4 seasons ~ we'll see what happens after that). The only conclusion I and others could come to is that Benedict isn't next. 😬😭 (Nothing has been confirmed yet, either way, though. There haven't been any official announcements about which main couple is next so... 🤷🏻‍♀️)

I'd like to see RJP recast for season 3. It weirded me out that the Duke of Hastings (husband to Daphne and friend to Anthony) was never in sight during season 2. It could be that I'm not that much in love with his character (I did not love season 1), but I think they could find someone who looks and sounds like RJP. Also I really want to see Prince Friedrich come back for Edwina.

I hope the writers see how much we NEED the Edwina + Prince love story bc if we get another exasperating Feartherington storyline I'm going to riot. We'll already have enough Featherignton drama with Polin I imagine. Plus it'll be a good way to see how Edwina and Kate's relationship has evolved and also give an excuse to see more Kanthony. Just to clarify Shonda didn't say they weren't following the order of the books she said they weren't following the time-line of the books. This is a different thing. As far as the Prince it was implied that he wanted to live in England.

Something just clicked for me. Bridgerton is weird on the topic of race. The new lord featherington and his mines is from Georgia. Georgia is famously a slave owning state. Maybe his hostility towards Will is more to do with American slavery than knowing the fight was fixed.

I don't think so we will see Edwina in s3. I think they will just mentioned it that she married someone but they will not show her. The Bridgertons are the main part of the show so even the side plots should have some association with at least one bridgerton for example how the Featherington s2 scam storyline had connection to Colin. But Edwina and Prince's storyline would have no need of any Bridgerton so I don't think so they will include Edwina at all.

I didn’t like the Featherington storyline but some of these Kanthony fans are so annoying when they keep harassing/asking about deleted scenes like this is it just rewatch lol. I’d love to see more of the Prince and Will.
