I fell a little bit out of love with cars after selling my E36 320i almost 5 years ago. I got an E46, which I loved, a brilliant car, but it just wasn’t the same. I didn’t stop maintaining it or going for a drive or to meets and stuff, but something was missing. The E36 was always my favorite car in the world, my heart stayed forever with that model, and with their prices going higher and higher, I started losing hope of being able to get one any time soon(I’m a student, who works part-time). At the end of last year I sold the E46, and then I had the chance to once again buy an E36. And I f‘ing did it. I’m more in love with it than I thought I’d be, it’s "just" a 318IS, but it is a stunning car, which brings me a lot of joy. One of the big reasons why I didn’t give up on my dream of owning an E36 again(especially with their prices flying through the roof) was you guys. Your work, your passion, and your dedication showed me that anything was possible. So thank you for that. My favorite KZbin channel hands down, and it’s been this way since your very first vlogs. I’ve always been more of a quiet admirer, but I’ve been with you since the very beginning. I’m so proud of you and also happy for you and everything you’ve done and keep doing. Much love from a Bulgarian, living in Germany. ❤️ Maybe because of you and the inspiration you keep giving me, when I have the money, I‘ll go and put an S54 in the E36 Coupé. That would be a banger.

Similar thing to me but with an ek civic. In America, finding a nice example of any popular Japanese car with decent mileage, minimal rust, and not a lot of mods has been a pain and it took over a year of searching and working two jobs, but I finally got it and it feels amazing

Regarding AE86 window trim: I think it looks better with the blacked out trim. I guess you can even leave it with the tape, so you dont damage the chrome underneath, if you paint.

Plastidip is a great option for that, looks nice and is removable

The black on the trims on the 86 looks way better. If you really want the chrome trims, you need to do the edges of the trims too.

It does show more practical solutions to things that happen to the average person that does not have ALL THE TOOLS... it also keeps your channel very humble. hey Sam, with the clear 4age valve cover i strongly suggest pushing some vacuum hose over the mounting bolts to take up the space around the bolt and in the mounting holes. it will vibrate a lot and eventually break (happened to me). also run some vacuum line or rubber seal around the edge of the clear cam cover. same thing, vibrates cracks and breaks.
