My mother used to talk to her plants, and they thrived! African violets in particular. Your breath gives them extra CO2, and they sense your positive vibes. On the contrary, if you yell at them, they take on a discouraged look. Really. Botanists have proven this. ☘️😉

"I'd give you the fare to Kathmandu Tom if I thought you'd go." said in Margo's cut-glass accent, may well be my favorite line of the entire series. Bought quite a few audiobooks for the sole reason that they were narrated by Penelope Keith.

True, but it all depends on studio hire etc. They hire studios to a certain time and if they run over, it costs a fortune. It also depends on the scheduling too - with a lot of sitcoms being filmed during the mid to late 1970s and with fewer studios to use etc. they couldn't afford to miss filming sessions. Hope that makes some sense!

there are some interesting theories and therefore why shouldn't there be a theory like talking to plants to see if they grow better be considered a valid agricultural theory?

yes. It's the same with Porridge!

What it is really is plants and trees 'breathe' in carbon dioxide, and we expell it, so we help eachother.

Does anyone know the name of the Delius piece they play at 4:40?

I'm surprised they carried on filming with Felicity sounding ill. Was there really such a rush they couldn't have waited a few days for her to get better?
@jaycee330 Жыл бұрын
Studio time is expensive, rescheduling is a nightmare. Felicity is a trooper, and knows about "the show must go on".

"Right-wing coup" Margo's really right-wing and a tad crazy!
