The Good Life Week 2: Focused

It’s easy to live disordered and distracted lives. Constantly focused on what more we need to do and never seeming to amount to what we hoped we would on our own. Romans 8 calls this the life obsessed with self. It is described as a life where our thoughts, priorities and decisions lead us to think more about ourselves than about God. The reality is, this focus on self leads us to a divided and dead life. Jesus’ invitation for us is to live our lives focused on God is an invitation to a life of peace and focus. When our focus is on God, the only direction He knows is life to the full. He is a God of life and goodness, and the promise is that when our focus is on Him, we will experience the good life.
