If you hold the rev limiter for a while the engine WILL blow up on any bikes. 2 strokes are a little better because you need to use it’s power at high rmps but not as much for 4 strokes

Random Guy maybe for people that don't race. but racing them just shows how slow they are. i had one and placed 6th. one week later i got a 2018 kx100 and placed 1st at the same track. the 150rs just don't have enough power to run in the supermini class. they top out too easily in the straight stretches. and they aren't very good with jumping because you have to be in a gear higher than normal being that if you hit the rev limiter on the 150rs it messes up the valves in them.

mine blew up on an idle. sucked two exhaust valves. honda's are garbage. and hitting the rev limiter is bad on the valves in these little 150s. the kx100 is the faster bike. and the better bike all around.

The gearing on the bike is really short and it hits the rev limiter at what I feel it too early. I think It could go a lot further. In other words, I don't think it is a problem. Top RPM is where the most HP is anyways.

I would say that’s a pretty good idea I ride a KX85 and it’s about the same power as a 125 2 stroke but in a 4 stroke the 150 is a great bike if you want some more power but not too much
