The composer of the music for all three westerns in the dollars trilogy as well as "Once Upon a Time in the West," was Ennio Moricone, who passed away recently. He was immensely respected and, during the last decades of his life, had more requests for work than he could possibly ever fulfill.

If you ever live on the plains of the west for any time you would hear the coyotes cry at night ( the women choir ) and clap of thunder and whip snapping (slapping sticks), the blond woman singer is the prairie wind , canyon echoes (male choir) all classic western movie sounds.

Just a small FYI this is actually 2 pieces of the Movie score. The second half is the Ecstasy of Gold sequence from Sad Hill Cemetery. Ennio Morricone used voices as instruments. This video is about as exact as it was done for the original recording back in 1966 for the movie itself.

When she sings "Wa Wa Wa" there is each time a harmonica playing along with her voice. At 6:37 - you can clearly see him playing the harmonica - along with her voice. They should have showed him more - because too many folks are "Did she do that with her voice"? Yes - with the help of the harmonica player - every time.

@@smittycal You are very welcome and btw. it also does include the Halo one. Most of these performances in my playlist are from themed concerts - Fantasymphony, Galaxymphony and The Moricone Duel. The concerts could of course be attended live, but have also been shown on Danish tv. I think it was December 28 2021, that they were showing the concert Galaxymphony Strikes Back on DR2 (Danish tv channel). I do not mind paying our taxes here in Denmark, because we get a lot from it including these performances and other art, that contribute to my well being and enjoyment of life.

I also love the Metallica version of "Ecstasy of Gold," but with all due respect to Metallica, it doesn't compare to the symphonic versions either in the movie, with the symphony conducted by Bruno Nicolai, or this version (which I think is even better) by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Choir. Kudos to Tuva Semmingsen (the "wah wah" woman), and Christine Nonbo Andersen, the amazing Mezzo-Soprano.

He doesn't play metal. He'd never heard "Enter Sandman". Drumeo challenged him to learn the drums and play them live!
