It’s always amazing to me how some people can hold a very linear trajectory in answering questions. You can definitely hear just how clear he needs his thoughts to be. No wonder he felt called for such a project as a linear account of the Gospels.

I am not understanding how his effort differs from a chronological Bible or summaries like “The Story.” However, in some churches very few have read the Bible and anything that might get them past that hesitation would be great. A potential market in between the 2 Paul mentions @1:35

I missed out on Meteora, since I didn't go to North Greece. Christian Tibet? ... exactly.

Any desire to understand the gospels, is from God. We do not pursue God, He pursues us. I see how Neil Averitt came to the conclusion that a clear & comprehensive compilation of the gospels would be helpful. But, there is more to it than solving a problem. What is the purpose? I hope it leads readers to see the birth, life, death, resurrection of Christ as Messiah for their salvation.

merry Christmas PVK You're much more interested in the object cause of wanting to write a book than the book which makes the author analyze their preconceptions. You think you're being a good Cornelius Van Til-ian but this is Hegel through and through

Interesting. They say writing a book is like giving birth. Two years ago I wanted to give a seniors class at the community college, but the idea of producing 96 PowerPoints/slides seemed too much ;-(. The effort to organize materials and thoughts for that would take a year ;-((
