Thank you for taking the time to put this audio together. My favorite book of the bible. Some folks don't like the NASB, I can understand because it is a pretty strict translation of word for word. I like it as well as the thought for thought. Thanks for sharing.

I agree about Chapters However, I find that the constant repetition of the many verse numbers can be very distracting for some people ? Further, the Reading of Numerical Words between Alpha Based Sentences can break the Continuity Thought for many people. The original scrolls had neither Vs or Ch Headings. This is much better for readers to comprehend the Themes of Chapters

Yep. Wasn't even called the Gospel of John until the late second century. Almost didn't make it into the final canon until chapter 21 was added to uphold the apostolic progression from Peter, and the John the Baptist passages in chapter 1. So glad they did. It is the tightest, most literarily profound gospel imo, though Mark as the original is probably still my favorite.

Not sure if I see your point. Even the most plain reading of the text will still have inflection and that implies things that may or may not have been intended. So its imperative to study carefully and not assume anything. I think this OR a dramatization is perfectly valid as a form of entertainment so long as it does not replace your time in the word.
