I can highly recommend purchasing a package deal. We did the train only on our first trip and full boat on the second. I should also point out that this is a purely personal effort. While the staff and actors were very enthusiastic about this film, the Grand Canyon Railway and Hotel did not finance or in any way sponsor this effort. This video is not being monetized; it is purely a portfolio and documentary project. Thank you.

Thanks. Filming was a lot more difficult than I anticipated. Weather (lighting) could change dramatically over the course of just a minute, although it was very good and consistent once we got near the Canyon. I had no control over sound and had to work around other people all the time. Still, I think it worked out okay :)

Impressive! After viewing this, I want to take this vacation next spring :). I liked the Canyon views and the shot of the birds circling overhead from the back of the train. Were you granted special access to go outside? And, how long is the Wild West show?

Thanks. If you purchase a ticket for the luxury parlor, you are allowed to step out on the back ramp. Luxury dome tickets are allowed access to the luxury parlor car. I was able to go outside just like any other qualifying fare. The wild west show is a good 15 minutes and well worth the time. We've seen it twice.
