Congratulations Ms Opal Lee!!! History has been made through her long walk and due diligence! At 96, this young lady has plenty to be proud of. Bet the guy that pulled out of lending his RV, regrets that decision. So glad to hear so many helped he to reach her destination. Thank you Ms Lee!

Young lady indeed! I've had the honor of meeting her and talking with her, and if she didn't appear as old as she does on the outside, you'd never know she's age 96. She's accomplished so much during her life, and even now is still contributing to society as if she were in her prime.

I've had the privilege of meeting and speaking at length with this inspiring woman. It happened quite by chance. She and her family were visiting the city I live in. The recreation center I work at is in itself a piece of our city's Black history, as it was the first such facility (and up until three years ago, the only facility) in our state that was named for a Black man. It's an experience I'll never forget.

@@Hollysuzette33 y'all slow.....this day been celebrated in the country with the real people forever. It wasn't even called this new ebonics word. But since you listening to the MEDIA masters of mind control because all learning begins with QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS! So again if you can't ask the person on a media device questions how did you learn? Or did it reinforce a particular worldview or belief system you already have established since a child? Media mind control masters tend to hijack ones imagination from childhood, keeping an entraining the mind to accept ideology and dogma as facts but certainly not the TRUTH! Truth comes from asking real people real questions. THIS IS THE EPITOME OF LAZY LEARNING! peace an bliss!

@@Hollysuzette33 do you live in her so called community to know if it's getting better? People that look like her in her so called community OWN NOTHING! And the secret democratic code word is EQUITY.....but not for the people there. The equity are these people an what little they do own (GENTRIFICATION) and to prove it: tell me what do you patronize in people who look like her community that you need on a daily basis to make it in so called modern society?

A human is not based by the color of their skin, their heritage, or the country they were born in. The human being is a spiritual being, made in HIS Image and Likeness. Genesis 1:26. Conceived in HIS Love. The human body is only a vessel to sojourn this life on Earth. Mostly a test given you on Earth. Do you want HIM or are trying to find a Paradise on Earth. Former President Obama was half black and half caucasian. Though he was only referred to as black. Go see his mother. Define Prejudice. Most only see one side for it is easier to lie to oneself.

It’s such an important Holiday that a large majority of the black community including Obama and Snoop had no idea what it was… I’m sorry but some old lady walking to bring attention to history shouldn’t be a holiday. Could you imagine white pride month or just a day in history to recognize an event would be met with backlash and that tells you right there the true agenda

@@No-Face21 The exact opposite actually, victim mentality is that a loathing quality. I just point out hypocrisy and facts like it being a fake holiday and if you truly looked at history it’s a complete different day. Maybe it’s on the 6th but that’s just a guess 🤷🏻‍♂️
