I still own my very first car. A 1979 Bradley GT-2. I’ve had it for just over 32 years now and I’ve amassed a number of entire Bradley parts cars for spares. I’m super stoked that you mentioned Bradley’s. The original GT was a cool ride. The GTII is always my favorite. Cheers!✌️

In the 80's a friend of mine owned a DeLorean. It was very cool to ride around in; it sat real low, the doors were very heavy as was the whole car, you felt cemented to the road. It was one of only two in the St. Louis area and was almost impossible to afford insurance for the car. Great memories.

I always liked it as well... The engine was underpowered... problematic.... The front plastic clip/grill didn't make sense, not making it out of S.S.. but the car is no doubt a piece of our history... Good video my man.. thanks.

It was a great car, but sadly it had the wrong engine. They tried adding a turbo, but it was too late. Mistakes were made for sure, but JZD deserves respect for doing what he did, following his dream and flying in the face of the big manufacturers. RIP, Sir.

John Delorean was an absolute legend amongst men in his field. I'm 41 and I know it's considered cliché to love the DeLorean automobile because of it's iconic place in BTTF, but even without that facet of it's history, the man and the automobile were amazing and the definition of technological "disruption". I know he was embroiled in a lot of legal issues and acquitted of them. I have no clue if they were legitimate, or as the conspiracists think, used to muscle him out of the industry, but I think cars could be a lot more interesting and fun had John succeeded in his goals of making a successful, new automotive manufacturing company.

He initially rejected being involved with the DEA in the sting until threats against his family were made. He was acquitted because he had absolutely nothing to do with any sort of drug deal. Even his attorney told him they would eventually leave him alone out of a rush to do business, but of course arresting him was the actual goal. They way the deal was structured, they (DEA) wanted him to invest in a narcotics purchase, but he couldn’t because he had no money. So the agents said they would front his share of the buy-in, then give him his cut minus their lending fees. So he never purchased drugs, never funded operations, and never did any sort of distributing and/or trafficking. Thus he had ZERO involvement in any drug operations and there was nothing to convict him over. The case didn’t just fall apart, there never was one to begin with.

Delorean, while at GM--created one of the most awesome cars of all time and that's the Pontiac GTO in 1963 for the 1964 model year. Production of the original GTO was from 1964 to 1974. Thank you, John for your amazing contributions to the auto industry despite being set up for entrapment by the FBI in 1982. However, you won! Total acquittal on all drug charges. This means you were innocent!
