Alot of people don't realize that Keith Whitley's death inspired Vince Gill to write the "funeral song" Go Rest High on the Mountain with the lyric "no stranger to the rain". Keith Whitley is one of the greatest country singers of all time! I have his jacket in a shadow box above my jukebox as a tribute to him!

Thank you for what you do. I, like many other people, am physically handicapped and can't travel or even walk easily. Your videos take us with you and that is special. You are so respectful in the cemeteries and that means a lot.

Thank you for the kind words. I try to be the vessel for anyone watching to use me as the way to visit wherever we may go. Thanks again for the kind words. They really do mean a lot and inspire me to do more.

Keith was just inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. 🎶 Long overdue and well deserved. Lorrie Morgan made a heartfelt speech. 🏅 Keith had the voice of an angel. He was taken away too soon to the terrible disease of alcoholism. 💔 May Keith rest in peace. 🙏

I didn’t think I knew who Keith Whitley was and then you said: when you say nothing at all. Well that sounds very familiar, I wonder if it’s the song I’m thinking about so I went and listened to it. Yep, definitely know that one. Thank you for sharing his life with us. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺

👍💯❤️👊👊👊👌. Thank you for doing this. My twin and I have visited Keith grave. We both love his voice, have his CDS. They were on cassettes first. When they were available on CDS. We both went out and got the CDS. We both still have all of our cassettes. One of my favorite songs he sing is, I'm no Stranger to the Rain. It has so many words that is what a lot of us feel. So I can relate. I love the Song. His Voice was unique. Not many has came close to sounding like him. He is one of my favorite Male Singers. I always enjoy all of his songs. I always look for the Greatest Hits Collection. I always buy 2 copies, if one get scratched, I have a back up. 😉. We do Appreciate your time and effort, for taking time to go Vlog, edit, post and share. Many can't go.for those who can't, I'm sure they Appreciate you. Regardless of where you go, we all love watching your Videos. I can take a picture, but having someone go, do a vlog, share the information. Means more than just someone taking a picture. 👍. We are indeed Back Road Adventurers. RIP Keith Whitley.🙏🕯️🌹🌻🦋🌌. Love, respect and positivity always. Vee, Andrew and family. ✌️🥰🖖👋.

I was shocked and surprised to hear about the sudden death of Keith Whitley in 1989 from alcohol poisoning as he had a high blood alcohol level. In other words he drank himself to death, as that is certainly possible now. I wished he would have lived into the 1990’s as he would achieved a lot more in country music in more hit songs, awards, and even honors too. Lorrie Morgan is his wife and widow and she was devastated, especially since two kids won’t have their father to be there for them.

Another great video ! I remember when he passed away in 1989 I had a town house in Marion NC at the time & was going through a divorce so I made a decision to take 4 vacation days at work & got on a real bender of a drunk to honor Keith Whitley. The place was packed with friends & alot of women who also joined in on the bender with me, that was a wild 4 day's but I lived through it ( not saying that was the most brilliant idea I ever had) but seemed right at the time. I'm very thankful for your channel & your story telling with a voice that really gets you into the meat & potatoes of the story. BTW the way I purchased a fitted hat & Hoodie from back roads for my brother's birthday this week. I'm just very appreciative of your channel & thank you very much.

This was great! I love Keith! He was such an amazing talent. Broke my heart when he passed away. He had a bright future. His voice could touch your soul. Tennessee Pride sausage use to be so good. Not so much anymore. It just does not taste the same as it did. I switched to Jimmy Dean sausage because we just would not eat Tennessee Pride anymore. Thanks for taking us here! Hope you have a great week ahead! God bless!
