Adrian Balboa (neé Adriana Pennino) (March 10, 1950 - January 11, 2002) was the spouse of Rocky Balboa and sister of Paulie Pennino who worked at the pet store near where Rocky lived in the Kensington neighbourhood of Philadelphia in the first film Rocky; Rocky and Adrian would later marry in Rocky II where their son, Rocky Balboa, Jr., was born, the only child of the marriage. She is secondary tritagonist in Rocky, Rocky III and Rocky IV, deuteragonist in Rocky II, tritagonist in Rocky V, and flashback character in Rocky Balboa.
Between the events of Rocky V and Rocky Balboa, Adrian passed away on January 11, 2002, at the age of 51, from ovarian cancer, leaving her husband a widower.
After her death, her widower Rocky opens an Italian restaurant named after her called Adrian's. After her brother Paulie passed away in 2012, he was buried next to her, and Rocky visits the graves every year.
Rocky Balboa is a 2006 American sports drama film written and directed by, and also starring, Sylvester Stallone. It is the sequel to Rocky V (1990) and is the sixth and final installment in the Rocky franchise. It also stars Burt Young and Antonio Tarver. In the film, Rocky Balboa (Stallone), now an aging small restaurant owner, is challenged to an exhibition fight by hothead boxer Mason Dixon (Tarver). Rocky Balboa was Antonio Tarver's first film only, and Stallone's first film as director since Rocky IV (1985).
Filming began in December 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2006, it moved to Los Angeles, California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Scenes in Philadelphia were set in staples such as the Rocky Steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and South Philadelphia, while Center City was featured more prominently due to Rocky Jr.'s job as an attorney. The scene where Rocky and his son were talking while walking down a quiet block was filmed between 20th-21st Streets on Walnut, just after dawn on a Sunday morning. The production budget on the 38-day shoot was projected to be $23.5 million.
The character's granite tombstone is in a small spot off to the side at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The prop was originally made of styrofoam, but it's said that when Sylvester Stallone saw it, he said it was "tacky" and had one made of real granite instead. YO, Adrian!

I went through the comments, or at least I think I saw them all, where are the haters? I’m guessing they deleted their inspirational words? Lol. Crazy that anyone would trash Scott over this vlog. What would be the purpose other than wanting to be “special” by speaking in the polar opposite of nearly everyone else. Someone give them their participation trophy so they’ll be happy and maybe they can move on.

Like always Scott u out do yourself with these videos amazing work you do for us all Thank u and be safe. and also in case u haven't seen it there's a deleted scene u can find here on KZbin where Rocky goes to Spider Rico's funeral and nobody shows up but only a few ppl and the speech he gives is something that hits home. 🤟 stay safe Scott you the Man

When Rocky Balboa came put my mom said she had no idea Adrian died. Not, Talia Shire, but Adrian Balboa. Her confusion was pretty funny to me. But she seemed so concerned. Guess it makes sense. I always thought of Rocky as some distant, goofy Uncle I never met

It confused the hell out of me for so long, it took until around 2016 to know the actress is alive, the fictional character is dead. She's so tied to Rocky that the fictional character blended with the real life actress. Took a random interview to confirm she was still alive.

I don't know the ages involved or anything, and maybe her response is a normal quirky thing for her. But if not.. keep an eye out... and an ear. it's a horrifying thig that fictitious people can occupy peoples hearts.. while they likely have family members they haven't seen in years.. and don't occupy a place in the heart of their family.. after all. Homeless people ALL HAVE FAMILY. All homeless people have a family.. that's supposed to care for them, support them, protect them, help them grow up. None of that shit happens anymore. That's where homeless people come from. It's not a lack of money. It's lack of humanity that's created global homelessness. End Times.. lack of humanity.

Scott (and die-hard Rocky fans) you should take a trip to the Victor Cafe in So. Philly! That was the restaurant Stallone used/filmed for Adrian’s in Balboa, Creed and Creed 2. My great grandparents, John and Rose Di Stefano opened the Victor Cafe in 1918. It has a very unique and rich history, and is still family owned and operated… 104 years and still going strong!
