Agreed. I wish he did get more subs. He's a great content creator and does a great job of educating. I think maybe some people are turned off by his accent, though personally I love it, lol. Some people don't like things different from themselves and what they're used to in the United States, unfortunately. I think using universe sandbox is a great tool, but I do wish he'd maybe write out some things to be read, such as the numbers he's throwing out there,and other important facts he's sharing. Sometime too, he talks waaaay too fast and jumbles his words and occasionally that's even a turn off for me, someone who adores his videos. I think he should take time to edit, and maybe have a little bit of a script to go off of so he doesn't get off topic like he does sometimes, and so we can understand him better. This would be easy if he showed us with the sandbox, and then recorded over. I really don't know, but I do appreciate what he does and only suggest these things to get better. I hope he does gain a larger following. He deserves it and I appreciate all he does. Take care and have a great day.

Very interesting video. As Arthur Eddington said, “not only is the universe stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine”. The great attractor is apparently one example of that.

By extrapolation can we safely say that several super clusters may form hyper clusters and rotate around an even greater structure and this pattern keeps repeating till everything eventually rotates around a central super duper attractor?

It won't even be the great attractor, it's gonna be called THE Attractor
@bringer-of-change
@bringer-of-change 2 жыл бұрын
You could say that, but the attractor isnt a physical object. It's a zone of dielectric inertia and acceleration, wich is invisible, but its effects on visible things is what we see kinda like a black hole.
@bringer-of-change
@bringer-of-change 2 жыл бұрын
It's not just orbiting the zone though its literally being pulled in and from there would spiral in a hyperbaloidal fashion to the other end where the mass would end up back in toroidal space.
@bringer-of-change
@bringer-of-change 2 жыл бұрын
It's a constant cycle between dielectric inertia and acceleration (counterspacial) andmagnetic force and motion (spacial) but we wont be around when stuff comes out the other end so by the time life evolves again they'll think it exploded from one point. They wont remember the great attractor. They wont know it's a cycle just like all cycles of nature. They will assume its gonna end and everythings gonna infinitely fly apart but nope. Once past the plain of inertia halfway up the torus of space itll seem to retract again.

I was informed that we'd never actually reach the Great Attractor - that the Universe is expanding faster than the Attractor is attracting. We only know its attracting cause we're not expanding away from the other galaxies as fast as we should be.
@henrygraham1584
@henrygraham1584 5 жыл бұрын
that depends on weather that expansion (Hubble expansion) begins to stop accelerating, right now, the most likely future is that it does stop accelerating, but remains at its currant rate. this may mean we will reach the great attractor eventually as in this case gravity wins out. then there is the idea that Hubble expansion will continue to accelerate to the point that Hubble expansion becomes so powerful, it firstly overcomes gravity meaning we won't reach the great attractor, then electrostatic force, meaning well be torn up into our constituent atoms, then weak nuclear force, where nucleons are torn apart to form nothing but protons and neutrons, then strong nuclear force, where protons neutrons as well as other hadrons are torn into they're respective quarks, this is called the big rip. Then finally they're is the big crunch, where Hubble expansion reverses and gravity becomes the dominant force. At which point The universe collapses into itself and becomes another singularity, possibly leading to another big bang, this will result in us meaning the great attractor again, so it really depends on what way the universe goes with its critical-mass and hyper-inflation

According to Stephen Baxter in his book "Ring" the Great Attractor is a hyper massive spinning ring of superstring built aeons ago by the first intelligent species in the universe. It's a gateway to other universes, an escape hatch to flee this universe that is being rendered cold and dim by another ancient race of dark matter creatures. So there you have it. It's an escape hatch.

I know this might be far fetched, but its almost like an area of a big bang which left a huge hole in the fabric of space which wants to be filled back in with any and all matter, like an explosion in the water, when it explodes, it leave a huge air pocket in the water and once the outwards force lets up, the water rushes back in, dragging anything and everything along with it,

This isnt such a weird and wild theory. Its like the flow of a river. We know on our earth gravity is it work. But at universal scale its allready proven gravity doesnt explain everything. So we can only guess what is going on... i dont think there is nothing there. But maybe something is setting this flow to be like it is. Its like a gigantic universal river of galaxys. It really looks like that to. So the galaxys move by the least place of resistent. Maybe less or more dark matter at some places.

DiscoKitten5 it's actually not, that's just the way we perceive it. We see light through a certain wavelength that's emitted by photons, if there are no photons emitted we cannot see it. In other words, space wouldn't be black if we perceived it differently (if we could see X-rays and other wavelengths it wouldn't be black)

How does this theory interact with our universe constantly expanding? How can you constantly expand and be attracted to a singular point at the same time? And more importantly, what happens first: our galaxy meeting the attractor or the heat death of universe?
@Andrius319
@Andrius319 6 жыл бұрын
It's both at the same time, like electrically charged ball in earth is effected by gravity and electric field, just that the expansion influence is greater than attraction. Quick question: I'm relatively new to physics, but I was wondering, would time speed up the closer we get to a black hole since space time is curved and at some point we would fall within its gravitational indent? I imagine it being a like ball spinning on the inside of some bowl, the closer we get to the center the quicker it rotates around the hole.
@vladimirlenin8539
@vladimirlenin8539 4 жыл бұрын
Time actually slows down the closer you get to a black hole just like how that faster you go the slower time goes. So theoretically if you were to have two clocks and sent one to a black hole the one going to the black hole would go slower the closer it got than the one you had until it crossed the event horizon where the clock would appear to stop and red shift away

Great attractor: one end of the dielectric hyperbaloidal geometry of inertia and acceleration. What goes in there gets pooped out the other end of the hyperbaloid (hour glass shape) and cycled back through the toroidal geometry of space and through the aether/dielectric field wich is produced by the inertia and acceleration of the hyperbaloid.

When I was a kid, I used to think space wasnt empty at all, that it is full of what I was calling dead atoms, atoms that were broken up into pieces after the big bang which has no attraction or repulsion which is why it seems like nothing is there, some of these pieces were lucky enough to get push back together in clumps forming into the first stars while the rest continues on its journey still broken up, the emptiness of space I believed to be a gigantic sea of dead atoms, On another note, Im starting to feel like Dark Matter might be the massing of neutrons and is why its so hard to find

Isn't it a weird coincidence that the Great Attractor is directly behind our galactic disk? I'm assuming the Milky Way is moving towards the GA. But why would the Milky Way be moving like a frisbee (Edge on) through space towards the GA? Shouldn't it be perhaps tilting up and down at a large periodicity or maybe slowly flipping over. The idea that the Milky Way is stationary and moving edge on only is tough to believe. So if the MW say tilts as it moves or flips, shouldn't we know when the GA will move into view either on the top or bottom of the disc?

I always thinking that the great attractor are from the core of the universe that has huge gravity. But who knows

I think the "great attractor" is just gravity trying to put the universe back together and that's just the nature of it and how gravity works, I don't actually think there is something that massive in the universe.
@quasimobius

It's more likely that something that massive simply shot through our universe and pulled these galaxies along as displaced matter riding a disturbed wave in the macro world.

Couldn't the great attractor simply be the vector sum of all the gravitational attractions of the galaxies to one another.

The great attractor is a superduper-massive black hole and all of space and time is measured around it!

Worm hole? Maybe if a Gravistar gets too big the plank wavelength zone becomes a portal to a different dimension causing a massive attraction or more boringly just a early universe blackhole i.e one made from primordial gas instead of normal matter.

The universe is expanding and speeding up as it expands.
@Rossilaz58

Wrong, scientists hypothesize the universe is expanding but the big bang was essentially a massive explosion. When there is an explosion shrapnel doesn't keep going forever. Over time (a long period) the expansion will stop. Eventually everything will be pulled to the true center of the universe until it creates a singularity (something infinitely dense like a black whole) and everything is infinitely small (known as the big crunch). After that, that may be the end of the universe or there may Be another big bang, making another universe, possibly a replica of ours. If you have any questions s, feel free to ask!

@@Rossilaz58 - Wrong, In the vacuum of space, shrapnel would in fact continue going on forever. In 1998, two competing teams of astrophysicists made an astonishing announcement: the expansion of the universe is speeding up. Dark energy is believed to be the force behind expansion and will continue to pull the universe apart, eventually stars will die out, black holes will evaporate. The universe eventually suffers heat death, freezing out. The other possibility is if the total amount of dark energy is increasing, the acceleration will also increase, eventually to the point where the very fabric of space-time tears itself apart and the cosmos pops out of existence, the Big Rip. The Big Crunch has already been pretty much debunked because of the presence of Dark Energy.

Hubble recently found Attractor remnants within the Milky Way! Regardless, the logic is, if mass can't disperse from being collected in black holes and all, all we'd see are collections, eh? A Bang redistributes mass as energy quickly, without them it'd keep collecting. That functionality is required, as is more than one bang and many collection zones, aka the cellular, multiverse in concept has evidence in the Hubble find. Then, what condenses first after a bang, are those entities the same as the last collapse? That's my assertion based on Sternglass-Einstein's work on the electron-positron pair, the prime suspect of first condensations, a portion of dark matter and the last collapse, ymmv.

Is it not also possible of the opposite? Instead of a great attractor we may have a great repulsor that is pushing everything away. Perhaps even something similar to how the earth is held together when there is incredible amounts of pressure under the crust, so much so that the core which should be liquid metal is compressed to a solid like state. Galaxies get pushed away but the collective gravitational forces keep everything in a sort of orbit around this core of the universe. If black holes exist then surely these "white holes" exist as well.
