I was also finding it weird to have so many Colleen Hoover in something targeted to kids before you mentioned it. Come to think of it, it might be that she was one of the only contemporary authors who licensed the books for it

According to a librarian friend of mine, Colleen Hoover's books count as YA, so that could also be a factor.

You could print little covers in your printer to cover the doubles and glue them on. The book inside will be the same but honestly nobody's going to read that. And you also get a little craft out of it and you can have some unique customized books 😊

Colleen Hoover writes erotic romance so it’s a little weird that she’s in a toy. She’s also one of those authors that’s super popular but writes....let’s call em “controversial” love interests so she also has a decent portion of people who despise her books.

I thought the same about Colleen Hoover because of all the hype. Don’t read Ugly Love. If that book is a sample of her writing style, her books must be terrible. But it’s one of those things that you must find out by yourself to avoid fomo. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Colleen Hoover writes romances that are both super popular and super loathed by a certain subset of people, so you’ll find her books EVERYWHERE but you’ll rarely find a booktuber who likes her. They are also very much NSFW so seeing her in a maybe kids toys is weird to say the least.

I’d probably want A Little Princess or The Secret Garden. Loved those as a kid and always have a copy on hand to go back too. Also, loved your disdain for Colleen Hoover. I was dying every time you opened another one. Right there with you on those books 😂

I think a fun thing to do with the books you don’t want, would be to go to a book store or a local library etc and find the full side ones and then place the tiny version right next to it 🤣 or you could create a tiny little free library but for your mini brands.

Alice in Wonderland. There are so many versions with different illustrations and covers. Along with Through the Looking Glass of course. Any version of Alice I am all for. From the original cartoon movie all the way through to the American McGee's Alice video game. Anything and everything about this world just speaks to me and always has. Than you for sharing this video. I have looked for these and haven't found them yet, but I will some day. :)

Way back when... whenever we got the new Yellow Pages book of the year, I'd colour copy the cover and keep shrinking it down till it fit as a cover for those tiny (1 or 2 inch?) yellow post-it note pads. 😂😂😂

I am kinda shocked by the book choices? If these are made for kids we have some odd books in the pile… ok we know Adults collect. However there could be different versions. Like tweens verses YA or something ?? Also I guess the bigger branded books ( more popular books did not want to be a part of this ) !! Narnia books , Harry Potter, lord of the rings, His Dark Materials, any Discworld books !!! I could honestly go on !! Do absolutely love both the Alice In Wonderland book and the Christmas Carol book. Need to try and find some of these myself. They do look amazing all stacked on the shelf.. oh Ps. I feel those white bland shelves could use a make over with some sticky back plastic/ Vinyl stickers or something !!

When you first started opening these my mind immediately went to barbies so I'm glad we're on the same track heh. As a kid I made a bunch of stuff for my barbies and books were one of them. These would have rocked! Also, to answer your question I would love a miniature version of The Doom brigade by Margaret Weis & Don Perrin. That book kindled my love for more adultish fantasy and worked as a bond between me and my future best friend. It was my starting point as someone who lived and breathed fantasy stories for years

I’m so thrilled to see someone mention The Doom Brigade!! :D I loved that and Draconian Measures so much; I always wished they did more with the draconians after the War of the Lance just because of those books! Weis and Perrin are such lovely authors

You should make a mini version of your library with all those extra bookshelves. I also dont understand where they would put this product in a store. It seems like maybe it's meant for older readers with just kids books that are nostalgic but as a mom I would not be ok with finding that in the toy section of a store and then my kid getting mini versions of Colleen Hoover.

If I could pick books to go into miniature Lord of the Rings it at the top of my list, followed by Ranger's Apprentice, Percy Jackson, and a set of Jane Austen books that all match in some way. I really like the edition of Christmas Carol they used in this set. The frequency of the bookshelves is just as bad as the frequency of getting their shopping carts and shopping baskets (which never hold more than one item of the miniatures ToT). Thank you for sharing this entertaining unboxing of tiny books!

Finally got some in stock at my work in New Zealand - then I didn't end up getting any before they sold out. Which probably for the best as I dont know what ill do with them (Christmas tree decorations maybe?) Would love to see mini versions of His Dark Materials series.

Ever since your fist TikTok, Ive been on the lookout for these. Amazon finally had some but could only order 3. My list -- which i just ran to compare -- did NOT have the bookshelves listed. They are a NEW addition!!! I agree on the hoover books. It's a super common so its gonna pop up more frequently but why?! There are so many other choices they could have gone with! A series to collect could be Septimus Heap in hardback...pretty covers...just saying. Spook's Apprentice is another series.....Narnia, Sercret Garden, Little Princess, Grimm's Fairy Tales....so many options. Ooo! If you have a tiny cup or container, you could put the bookmarks and magnifying glass in to then display on the bookshelf with the books!

I haven't gone through all the comments, but if you don't make new books, any teacher would love them. My middle and high school (all girl) students are OBSESSED with mini's. I give my doubles away as prizes. They love anything tiny or mini. The craftier ones sometimes make jewelry and trinkets from them.

I would love a tiny Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. For the meta, I'd like a tiny version of The Borrowers. As others have mentioned, Colleen Hoover and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies seem like they don't totally belong, however, I would love to see an "adult novels" mini brands books, since these seem (rightfully so) to be geared towards kids/YA. Now that these are popular, I really hope they do a 2nd series.

It would be so cool if you could use the plastic balls to make toy cat treat dispensers and donate some! I know they are a bit flimsy so you’d probably have to glue or duct tape shut. Maybe burn a hole for the treats to come in and out? Also, we need a mini brands book exchange lol. I’ve been dying to get the Burn Book and I am missing a few others, but have some duplicates of other things. (Left a TikTok comment to the date effect, sorry for the duplicate comment) If and when I get the time I thought I might try to make a bookshelf out of some popsicle sticks I have leftover from another craft.

I really want to make a custom portrait doll of you that you can have for these bookshelves. (Maybe you could pose him ripping up one of the million Colleen Hoover books you got.) Also, I'm really curious if you went to NYCC in 2022. James Howe (Bunnicula author) was there, did a panel with R.L. Stine about writing horror for kids, and then was signing books. I never read Bunnicula, but I read another of his called A Night Without Stars, so that's the one I brought for him to sign.
