Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Bonds are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2020, and I return at least $30k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

The primary reason most people invest in stocks is the potential return compared to alternatives such as bank certificates of deposit, gold, and Treasury bonds. For example, the average stock market return has been about 10% annually since 1926; long-term government bonds have returned 5% to 6% annually during the same period.
@donna_martins8 ай бұрын
Stock market's returns often significantly outpace the rate of inflation. For example, the long-term inflation rate has run about 3.1% annually since 1913. That compares to a double-digit annual return from stocks. Stocks have been a good way to hedge against inflation.

I think there is an implied disconnect here in this video between the Fed funds rate and long term bonds. I would say they are more connected than implied in this video. Long term bonds are heavily influences by short term bonds. Part of the reason the 'higher for longer' verbage is being shared around and bond yields are rising at the same time is because no one wants to buy a long term bonds at lower yields than short term. For example, why would someone buy a 10 year bond at 4% when the 2 year bonds are yielding 5% or more for the next 5 years? That has a massive impact on the 10-year treasury market.

@albatkobe HEATHER LEE LARIONI guides me. She works with Empower FinanciaI services. But there are a lot of independent advisors you might look into. For me, her strategy works hence my result. She provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on

What does it mean when he says investors are demanding higher yields on their investments? At 5:22.. Does that mean people are selling their stocks?

Here is the thing. If the government is liable to default the yield I demand from stocks can remain low. Wouldn't be surprised to see 20 year at 5% while SPY makes new ATH two years from now.

The Fed suppressed interest rates below their natural rate for more than a decade. Rates are returning to "market-priced" interest levels. By suppressing rates, the Fed did great damage to the credit markets. It will take time for markets to "heal" and return to normal. Because of the rapid rise in our national debt, demand for debt far exceeds the supply. This will have the unfortunate effect of "crowding out" other borrowers and raising interest rates for all borrowers.
