This could be set in Easthampstead Park manor. Once a family home, turned hospital during the war and then a school. A school I very fondly attended. It all included a pet graveyard, tennis courts and female bullies. Apparently haunted of course. Pupils were not allowed to use the main wooden staircase. Nowadays it‘s a hotel and wedding venue. Do hope to go back one day but until then this beautiful play takes my mind back in time. Thank you for uploading x

What a great story! If Hollywood doesn’t completely transform and distort it, I would love to see this made into a film someday.

My grandfather always put about a teaspoon of salt in his coffee 😮… I remember the table in his bedroom - placemat (with football pools coupon tucked under) and bloody big tin of Saxa salt! He lived and worked in India for most of his life and said it was to combat the bitterness and to help rehydrate in the heat.

Very unusual space/time travel/sci-fi/ghostly/otherworldly modern tale. Thank you for posting this radio drama. I really wish the radio airwaves still had a space for the radio drama because there certainly IS an audience, & exposure to GREAT/unique/unusual STORYTELLING through WRITING (plays, short stories, novellas, novels, poetry) INSPIRE younger generations to pursue the craft as a means to express their own experiences, others experiences, &/or the magical inspirational gift that comes from the ether, the archetypal, the IMAGINATION! I wonder where the next genius of a storyteller will come from. If all movies, plays, stories are just re-telling of the same MARKET-driven, no-risk, profit proven tale, then will this society ever again seed, water, fertilize, tend, commend, & present the likes of a K. Vonnegut? I wonder. Knowledge comes from listening, learning, ingesting, digesting, wrestling, playing with ideas- past present, & future; may we as humans all ways keep creating inventive expansions, as does this simple radio drama. 🎉 Thank you to all involved in the production & the uploading of this work! 🎉❤
