Filmed in July 2015. Highlights of a return trip on the Great Central Railway from Loughborough Central to Leicester North, plus some footage taken of the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) at and near Ruddington station. The Great Central Railway consists of two preserved sections of former main line between Nottingham and Leicester. The southern section runnning between Loughborough Central and Leicester North is unique for a Heritage Railway in being mostly twin track, thus meaning that trains can pass each other between stations. The northern section is currently single track running between Ruddington and Loughborough Junction. Plans to join the two sections together are at an advanced stage.
