The Lord is merciful. The Bible says, "The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy." - Psalm 103:8.

The problem is not that we don't have time, it's a bored, dull, lackadaisical mind. We have time. We just lack the get up and go to get up and go. We surface pray. Procrastination is the worst sin since we tend to think we're going to in the future. That day will never come. Since it's always in the future and we have time. Only there is no time.

Elder Wilson, in the light of these deceptions and snares, is not Paul's admonition the answer? "For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified." Surely our message to the world is "The Great Reconciliation - salvation and restoration through the finished work of Christ on the cross." Nowhere in Scripture have we been commissioned to preach the message of "The Great Controversy Between Christ and Satan" to the world. Surely, the greatest snare of Satan is to lead us to lose focus on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross as a full and complete atonement for sin. "God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Cor 5:21 LSB. The righteousness of Christ has its source in the shed blood of jesus Christ on the cross. In his first letter to the Corinthian believers Paul made it clear ".... but we preach Christ crucified ...... Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." Christian wisdom and power has no other source than the fundamental, living, vitalising, saving truth of Christ crucified, God in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting our sins against us. Let us never forget that God raised Jesus from the dead "...through the blood of the everlasting covenant..."
