Unlikely to happen, but a fun idea I had is that when the Sunny bursts away into the sea, Mars is so focused on the Giant’s ship he doesn’t notice the Sunny behind him. By sheer dumb luck, the Sunny smashes into Mars as it falls into the ocean and plunges him into the sea. From there we get to see exactly what happens when they touch the sea. Which is to say, either nothing and Mars gets back up really annoyed or something strange happens.

Maybe Im could recall the gorosei for other reasons. If he just wanted to secure York so she could start working on the mother flame as fast as possible. I also have a hypothesis that Edison might have disconnected from Punk Records to appear dead, but hes actually rigging the mother flame to blow up the entire island, so the Gorosei could get pretty fucked up from that, or at least abandon the place as fast as possible.

You gotta remember that every antagonist has seemed invincible at first until a weakness was discovered that evened the playing field. If I were to guess at what Oda is going to do, I think this next round with Luffy and Bonnie will be used to showcase one of the Gorsei's weanknesses, it'll likely be the very last hit they land but it'll be enough to stop the Gorsei in their tracks so everyone can get away. It's possible they get called away ontop of that but Oda would'nt be doing this Gear 5 tag team for no reason.

Berry being a vampire I think that makes him able to turn into a Brickbat (can be a projectile weapon or an unkind remark) - I see while Bonney takes care of Mars, Luffy takes care of Nusjuro, & the Iron Giant distracts the rest of the Gorosei, but then they will quickly get off the island because the Mother Flame will explode due to Saturn destroying the controls which would allow the rest to make their escapes just as it makes the mushroom cloud which I can see the blast pushing the ships around the island

Back when Kuma was still cosplaying as an Intercontinental Bearlisitic Missile and flying towards Egghead, i remember there were a lot of theories about Kuma transferring all the pain he accumulated over his life into Saturn. Id kinda like to see Kuma have a Vegeta moment where he just unleashes a massive Ursus Shock from his pain to seriously damage the Gorosei and make them have to take awhile to regenerate.

I think the 3 major problems with the idea of dragons revolution starting and forcing the gorosei to return to the holy land is that for one thing, dragon and his army are confirmed to he at kamabaka at this very moment so it's physically impossible for them to attack on time for this to work, 2 the gorosei have little incentive to get involved with a revolution unless it's REALLY BAD due to not wanting to reveal their demonic nature to the public and would instead deligate the entirety of the gods knights to the task rather than commit to such a defense, and 3, a more narrative reason, if dragon WERE to invade the holy land right now it would absolutely fail because any revolution has to involve luffy to be successful because of his main character status and the themes or his character. And if it were to fail that would set back dragon and his army so badly that it would be hard to excuse them being ready for round 2 when luffy finally gets involved

There was a very interesting theory that i came across that suggested that similar to Prince Grus' clay people, the Gorosei just might be Imu's constructs. Maybe only just Imu had the immortality surgery done to him, while the Gorosei can regenerate because they are not really actual people. It would explain their ability to telepathically communicate and the same-ish powers they have.

It's more tangentially related to escaping from Egghead, but after thinking about it for awhile I think the best possible explanation for why Zoro didn't defeat Lucci quickly was because he first had to get Lucci away from everybody else so he couldn't attack them while they were fighting, then after they were away from everyone else Zoro was self-aware enough to know that if he just beat Lucci and tried to regroup he'd get lost and potentially delay their escape so he held off on the finishing blow until somebody was there who could keep him from getting lost. That being said, I NEED this (or some other reason, I know Oda writes well) to be mentioned in the story or I will hold it against One Piece until it's finished if it's never addressed at all. Won't stop me from loving it but I will be mildly annoyed anytime I think about it again.

One thing i havent seenn anyone mwntion yet is that 200 years ago the iron giant was likely wakened by an avatar of freedom (most likely an awakened Nika user but maybe a distorted future), and at that time the fishmen were being emancipated and were finally seen as sentient beings. I speculate that the "freedom" that powered the giant 200 years ago was related to the fishmen, either a fishman user of the nika fruit, or a nika user actung on their behalf. I do think it might be possible that the collective joy of all the liberated fiahmen was enough to power the giant by itself, and it went to the tip of the red line because of some history we dont know about yet

What you need is to do is target something that is a higher priority than stopping Luffy and Bonney. That is the Mother Flame, York, and Punk Records. So imagine if Bonney ordered the Seraphim to destroy the Mother Flame, or Stussy attacks York and York calls for help. The Gorosei would have to disengage to protect it. Sure maybe you only need one to do that, but if three are engaged with the giant robot then maybe the one who can reach there the quickest is Mars who has to stop pursuing. Not to mention if York does die, and let's say so does Atlas and all that's left is Lilith, destroying the ship she's on is no longer a good idea since they now need her to power Uranus. Also on the assumption they have Devil Fruits too engaging Luffy in Gear 5 over the open ocean is dangerous as one unexpected attack could put them into the water, and the risk may not be worth pursuing them at this point, as the purpose of summoning all 5 was to stop Vegapunk's message. Another thought, Kuma is on board, and while not functioning atm if Bonney were about to die again perhaps he activates one last time and slaps Mars to who knows where and the other four don't pursue for fear the same thing will happen to them. Final thought, Vivi's location is discovered, and Imu orders the Gorosei to break pursuit to capture Vivi instead.

This may be very unlikely but I think that Nami may be able to help with the escape. She can use her Climatect to create multiple illusions (mirages) of the escape ship to confuse the Gorosei long enough to get away. Edit: Jinbei can also do some water bending shenanigans to create a high wall of water to block the Gorosei's path.

The main problem with the revolution idea is that even if Dragon knew that the Gorosei are absent, the Revos would still need at least a few hours to get to the Redline, right? Even if Dragon has the means of traveling really fast AND take some of the higher ups with him, that surely would take around 45min up to 1h in the best case. How would they be able to function as a distraction if we were to need something to distract the Gorosei right now?
