I wish he'd tried leaning into the theme and come up with something interdepartmental. I have a Zimone and Dina commander deck as I'm in Biomedical science, where Witherbloom and Quandrix meet. I wanted Jimmy to splash some red with his given colours in the Prismarhold Art History department. Jeskai is pretty good right now, right?

In terms of power level, Cedric’s deck has such an advantage. Super powerful archetype rn, Unholy Annex alone is just such a cracked card. I’m sure he was super happy finding out he was playing Crim’s 140 card deck instead 😂😂

Yeah, I imagine Stab is a deathcore band based out of San Clemente who offers a sardonic twist on the genre by infusing it with ska-inspired instrumentation that includes the electric piccolo. They have previously collaborated with another band, Grievous Wound, in a supergroup called Stab Wound, though this was mostly limited to a short run during the mid 2010s.

While I get not everyone likes other people touching their cards, I find it very refreshing and enlightening watching someone else helm your deck against you. We sometimes do that in our commander pod, assign each players deck a number, roll to see who goes first, then they roll to see which deck they play and so on. Its a great way to get a feel for other deck building styles, expose you to new playstyles or cards youre not familiar with, and sometimes even find interactions you didnt even know your deck had. I recommend the practice to more pods if youre not persnickety about your cards and trust your crew

I was also perplexed. I thought they had to build from the sealed pool that was sent, which was only Foundations products.

@@Zjivarra Video 1 establishes that they were allowed to use anything in standard, they were just sent free foundations products to use to help out (and promote the product). Most the other builders leaned heavily on foundations either because they felt they should or because their themes werent otherwise well represented. Cedric's theme was very nebulous and very smooth with duskmorne.

Thought the same as well, as a new player to Magic, it would have been nice to be able to build a deck in this case be able to recreate different decks using just the Foundations set, rather than hunting for other cards from other sets. 🤔
