This game was one of the reasons I contacted Chris Hülsbeck in the 90s. We became friends and I had the chance to make the full soundtrack & music for Giana Sisters DS (also the Soundeffects), I also made the music for Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams and all the following games, and the mobile and handheld versions. By 1986, everyone knew how to program music for the C64. This was normal sounding music for the C64 at the time.

Nintendo sued almost immediately after this game was released. It was quickly pulled from retail, but with so much piracy, enough people had this game. Edit: Nintendo wouldn't date approve this game on their console.

Better than the original. Is a timeless classic. The Amiga version is more colorful, but the C 64 version has some graphical features. The diamonds pulsate, the surface of the water is moving, the fish jumping with his head back into the water. The one with the diamonds they have indeed with the remake (Giana Sisters - Twisted Dreams) taken. Also Giana Sisters looks better on the C 64 from Mario on the NES. It looks better even with its horizontal scrolling Mario Part 2 and 3. How about a long play of "Hard 'n' Heavy"?
