I've been meaning to watch this. I had no idea who Barbara Payton was until a couple of years ago. What a tragic story. She had enough talent and looks to become the next big thing but like plenty of other women who made it to that town, her male sensibilities got the better of her. Others like Crawford and Bette Davis had the discipline to use that to their advantage but Payton didn't. She loved men and sex too much and eventually the shame she couldn't admit to turned into her extended, painful suicide.

I just took a look at it, intrigued by "In New Ansco Color!" I've shot plenty of Ansco (GAF) film and Anscochrome. Remember the colors being a bit different than Koadk or Fuji films. The color in this movie is just as good. Thanks!
