I often think I want to restore my MGB, and these videos help me get over that desire because it reminds me of HOW MUCH WORK it is to really do a good job of it.

Unbelievable work Steve. I have very basic mechanical knowledge and zero body work ability. I am amazed at your work.

I just binged watched the entire series to date and can’t wait for more videos and the especially final episode. I especially like your overview documentary style as many KZbin’ers get lost in the sauce so to speak. I have a ‘77 MGB that should get the same treatment but…

Hi Steve, So I thought I was doing a fairly good job with my MGB restoration, you my friend are next level, what you are doing is inspirational, good on ya. Hope you don't mind i'll be taking a few ideas myself. If you concern yourself about originality to much you'll get lost in it, I gave up on that idea day two :).

Hi Steve, coming along nicely, can you please list the underbody coating. Looking forward to the next episode.

We started by having the whole shell dipped to remove the rust and then protected with a material called Bondrite to stop the base metal flash rusting. After that I painted it with a 2K Epoxy Zinc Phosphate primer. For the underbody, I chose tintable RAPTOR coating which is a 2K truck bed / underbody textured finish. I've tinted it to be similar to the final body colour.

I hope you have a spreadsheet of how much this has cost, and your effort included as well then you can explain the cost overruns... :-)
