The Cs was encouraging the lodges and camps to reduce the prices to the domestic tourists like you and me. Humbled to the Biggest promoter, BONFIRE ADVENTURES AND EVENTS , ( where we depend 95% on domestic tourists) i can ascertain that rates to Maasai mara for Domestic tourists has changed downwards considerably even to the reach of most of the travellers. When we opened Bonfire Adventures 10years ago, a package to Mara was approx 50k for 3 days but now We are able to offer a 3days package Maasai Mara for approx 12k per person for all 3days with transport in a tour van, 2 nights accommodation, meals on full board and gamedrives. All this from 12k. The road to mara Sekenani gate has been tarmacked and that’s plus for tourism. Even if we might not be there but we are heading to the right direction as far as promoting domestic tourism is concerned. Dubai also have done a lot to encourage tourists where their rates too have come down .... Post Covid our 5Days Dubai package is approx 49K per person with Return flight, 4 nights accommodation, Desert safari, Dubai city tour and Dinner cruise. This price is for all 5days not per day Let us give credit where its due. The issue is not only about seeing the animals but the exposure and the network you will get when you travel. Just remember , Your Network is your Networth.
