I know this debate was more of an entertainment to make people have fun and enjoy the jokes they were saying, but on both sides of the debate, there could have been more reasons and better examples to their answers overall. Not to mention with the people on the panel, on one side you got someone who prefers the classics over the adventure titles and the other side who are more or less casual with the game itself from the answers they gave. I would personally love to see an actual debate with these two games given to actual two fans that actually love the adventure games more than any other games in the series and could explain themselves in any question they are given with more explanation and detail.

Worse spindash. More tedious emblems. Big is only 4 stages unlike 20 garbage treasure hunting and mech stages (besides cosmic wall). Things Sa2 did better Better multiplayer. Better Chao garden. I would argue that sa1 had superior lighting but I'm not too sure. But honestly I don't think anyone can ever convince me that Sa2 is better than sa1.

If there's one think I wish SA2 had, I wish there was at least one Sonic VS Eggman boss battle. After Sonic defeats Shadow, they should've also given us another boss battle immediately after that, where Sonic fights Eggman, like he always does.

One thing I'm kinda surprised wasn't brought up (well, actually I'm not since I don't see it brought up that often) is that there's a lot more variety of things to do the SA2's Treasure stages. SA1 is pretty climbing and gliding, SA2 has that as well, but it also incorporates swimming and secret routes/shortcuts via digging. It doesn't quite make up for the radar being neutered the way it was, but it does make the individual stages somewhat more interesting.

If I could change one thing about the debate it would be one less round because gameplay was split in three parts anyways and a small section of time for the first side to go to rebut because the second always has the advantage of seeing all the cards.
