Literally binged this entire series just now and I am *hooked!* Finally, something that actually does credit to Snape's character! He is most likely the third most powerful wizard in England (imo) during the books and that's always overlooked. And the art for this series is absolutely incredible. The amount of talent from the script writers, the actors, the artists and all the sound design (spells/walking and doors etc. and then there's the *music* which is fab) is amazing! And the writers and actors have such a grasp of the characters that nothing feels contrived or out of character. I'm just kind of sitting here in awe at how brilliant the podcast is. Normally, I can't sit and just listen to voices with only a picture on screen but I was utterly captivated the entire however-long it took to watch everything until now. You have done such a flipping good job it's incredible! Even the accents don't sound too terrible, as a Brit meself :D

I hear Luthor go "Avada Ka-" and Moody go "Reducto!", obviously forcing Luthor to block as opposed to cast the curse, but then, since there's no incantations, I sort of lose track of what's going on. Is Moody bombarding him with spells, forcing him to go on the defensive and having an obvious edge, or are they evenly matched and trading blows with equal intensity? And when the swooshing sound begin, what's that all about? I thought for a moment that they were apparating, but no, we hear Luthor - I think - pick himself up and start running, and then there is a sound like an explosion, and then the duel is over and both of them are injured, but no, it wasn't a explosive spell that backfired and hurt both of them, because Bellatrix or whoever it was mentions Luthor got splinched. Could you help me wrap my head around this? ^^'

@@ninclow5421 You're pretty much on the right track :) Sound is tough to display in a fight so we did our best to portray it, but also means a lot is left up to the imagination :D But yes Luthor got hurt and Moody lost his leg due to getting splinched.

I absolutely love this series. The acting is great, the writing is excellent, the art is on point and captures the emotions of the scenes. It would be great if you added subtitles/CC to the last episodes missing it, since KZbin is removing the ability for community members/viewers to add them, and having them makes so many more able to enjoy your work; deaf/hard of hearing people, people with auditory processing issues, concentration problems, people who's less familiar with English or some accents, and people who just prefer subtitles over loud sound. I know it takes time to add subtitles, but you already have the script, that's a good start. Adding in explanations for the background sound makes it a lot easier to make out what's going on and makes it easier to enjoy the story.

Well, that was a nice twist. So Luthor is no longer on first name basis with Snape, and it certainly seems that he's pulling a Snape, himself. I was surprised that LF would encourage SS with Lily Evans, knowing she's Muggle born, though with that ending perhaps I should no longer be. Still surprised at SS not raising that objection himself, but it's possible he is too respectful of Frumentar, both as a professor and a senior Death Eater, to argue. So how long will you keep us in suspense, Justin (and Garrett, and Mick)? Oh, and thanks.

Love this thread :) I wanted to set up that blood purity wasn't as important as loyalty, which is why Luthor suggests that to Snape before he brings up Lily. As Dumbledore said, it is not our talents that show us who we are, but our actions.

This reminds me so much of Big Finish Diary of River Song. Unlike normal audiobooks you get sound effects. From opening doors all the way to battles. It’s so exciting. I just binged the whole series. Hope 10 is up soon.

Is Luthor a spy then? Why would he want to see Dumbledore? Perhaps both Severus and Luthor will become spies until the latter dies (I think he will die because he wasn't mentioned in Harry Potter, he is an invented character). We didn't see the Order (apart from Moody and Alice and Frank, I think) in this episode, maybe in the next one!

Well Severus did know about the Horcruxes weather Dumbledore told him or he already knew cause he helped make them who can say but Dumbledore told Snape neaely everything to do with the plan before he died at the very least at least that's what I got from the films/books

Yes. i need to check it which book it was, but i remember Harry gifted with a picture of the original order of the phoenix. there he was told, that the Prewett brothers died soon after the picture was made, and that were Molly Wealsys brothers.

@@companion_monke_gaming he did know though in The Prince's Memories Dumbledore tells Snape the truth that a part of Voldemort's soul latched onto the only living thing Harry Himself and Snape comes to the conclusion that he must die at the proper moment now how could he figure that out or understand all the intracacies unless he already knew about Horcruxes and the reason Dumbledore didn't explain why Harry needed the sword is pretty obvious, because Snape didn't ask and he didn't need to either he needed it to defeat Voldemort ect..

The WB (who own the movie rights) forbade them from raising money to make more fan films after their "Snape and The Marauders" film got so much attention. To make this series into live-action shorts would cost WAY too much money. Money they're not allowed to make/raise.

@@companion_monke_gaming yeah but as I said it will be more poetic if he dies being a double agent for Dumbledore as Snape will eventually join the Order out of love for Lily and become a double agent for Dumbledore and die doing it all for Lily while I doubt the professor doesn't have reasons like that and think it's more of a moral standpoint still poetic.

@@dunkbuscusgaming7016 He might die, as you said, being a double agent, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he will die in a poetic way. I think that he won't be killed in a fight by the Aurors because for example, Moody preferred not to kill even of he could, so I think that Voldemort could discover that he was being a spy for the Order and then kill him (or torture him), making him different from Snape, that was able to conceal that information until the end. Or he will be simply arrested and sent to Azkaban, where, in this case, he would go mad and die in a more tragic way.

@@companion_monke_gaming well if Voldemort does kill him that makes it poetic while Voldemort killed snape because he thought it would make the elder wand his if he does kill professor for his betrayal they would both have been killed doing what they believe is right for the greater good.

@@dunkbuscusgaming7016 Yeah, Snape's death was so unfair, because he died because Voldemort was wrong about the Elder Wand. I'm not a great fan of Snape or James, because I think that they were both wrong in something but good in other things (Snape loved Lily but he was a Death Eater and James bullied him but eventually he matured and sacrificed himself trying to give some time to Lilly to escape). In this series, though, I think that the Death Eaters' parts are more interesting, because we know how the Marauders' future will be, while we don't have so much information about the Death Eaters between the two wars.
