You are right she needs more name recognition. After all they love talkin about Boadicea. Who led the major rebellion against the Romans in Britain. But she ultimately lost.This Nubian queen won her war against the Roman and she got them to sign a treaty that was favorable to the Nubians.

That's a good idea. A good way for them to learn african history, adults too, because I'm just learning myself. I just saw a superbad animation of warrior Queen Malika. I love animation more than real, because the animation look realer than real. But I did think they needed a movie made, and I already picked Jennifer Hudson to play her, because the animation looked like her. I'm going to check out this animation of Queen Amanirenas, now.

@ The descendants of the "original" Egyptians live in Upper Egypt to this day. They are indigenous Nilo-Saharan Africans who are marginalized in their own land just as the Native Americans are marginalized in their own land. The current Egyptians are mostly the result of Arab invasion just as the current American population is the result of European invasion. History has repeated itself.

@@malaktarabi4359 A lot of Upper Egyptians (i.e. Egyptians to the south) still have traits like dark black sub-Saharan type skin that make them more aligned with Sudanese (i.e. ancient Nubians) but that's not the case for most Egyptians in Lower Egypt (i.e. northern Egypt) around the Nile Delta, who look MENA and share genetics with West Asians. It's been like that since at least antiquity if not the very beginning of Egypt's history with Early Dynastic Kingdom.
@gsutton78
@gsutton78 4 жыл бұрын
@Tracy Sharp The thing is that globally, we are actually not a minority. This is why all blacks should adopt a pan-African mindset and work together as a unified force of 2 billion plus, at least on the things that matter to all black people in Africa and the diaspora. There was once no unified white race. They were warring tribes as well in Europe and America (Civil War, Revolutionary War). But, Greeks, Italians, the Irish, and the Slavics were once not considered white, but colored. But, to make themselves a majority and powerful in the West, they adopted a pan-European mindset. They are unified. We are not. They put aside their differences enough to classify themselves as a single white race. Even if the different subgroups don't like each other personally, they will still support each other for "whites' sake". This we have yet to learn.

Thank you Home team. We appreciate you. Another Africa Queen not mentioned is Orompoto of Oyo, Yoruba empire.Orompoto was the sister of her predecessor, Eguguojo.She became the first woman to become "king" of the Oyo in the imperial era, and the first woman since the pre-imperial ruler Yeyeori.Orompoto assumed the throne because there was no male successor within her family at the time.She helped drive the Nupe from Oyo in 1555.Orompoto lived in the 16th-century. Orompto was the second Oyo monarch to reign in the new capital of Igboho.Some traditions of the oral record hold that she was miraculously transformed into a man before assuming the throne there. Orompoto used horses extensively in military battles and may have obtained them from Borgu.She was reportedly masterfully skilled on horseback, and created a specialized order of cavalry officers within her army that was known as the Eso Ikoyi. The first of its kind, the cavalry was a force to be reckoned with in the various wars with Oyo's enemies.Considered a skillful warrior herself, she is said to have distinguished herself at the battle of Illayi. While fighting her enemies there, she lost three war chiefs in quick succession,

Great history lesson, as usual. I won't forget Queen Amanirenas. Interesting, the photo shown of Queen Nzinga looks so much like the actresses Mary Alice, and Irene Cara. Great job. Thanks✌🏽

I am from sudan and lived there my entire life but never knew about such great queen until i learned that by myself searching wikipedia among other sources. Sadly our cushite history isnt taught in in details in our schools and its neqlected on purpose for the past 30 years of islamic rule for the favor of the recent islamic history of Al Mahadiya. but the great knews is that after the recent revolution there is a growing awareness of our africanism thanks to our great ethiopian neighbours for that. on behalf of all sudanese people i want to say : Sorry AFRICA for not being there the past couple of decades

O have loved so much your video and wow 🤩 thank you for sharing. I am an Africans descendants who has grew in Europe and I am now looking for my African identity. And let me tell you this is what most Africans don’t have knowledge of “Their own history” I am a believer that our history was destroyed, and hidden for many reasons... however every time I hear these stories my presence as an African descendants becomes richer and I am so proud!
