Scott Waites’ comeback against Wade in the Grand Slam is surely the best comeback in PDC history. If you count the BDO then the 2007 final was one of the best too

Agree. Waites had to play well to win that match whereas Wade averaged just 91.39 to win here. This match had more to do with Mervyn King flopping than any James Wade brilliance. Both players played well in the semis though.

I know the usual way for a 135 is BULL-T15-TOPS, but I think T20-T19-D9 (60+57=117+18=135) would work as well, especially if the bullseye is a point of trouble.

It's about having more potential checkouts. If you go for bull and hit 25 you're left with 110. Then you still have triple 20 bull to finish on. If you miss triple 20 you have 115 and can't do that with 2 darts
