You could make the case that the Jirov fight was Toney's best performance, even over Barkley and McCallum. He fought a naturally larger, younger man and fought him at his own game, standing right in front of him. That was a brilliant fight. Ioka - Yaegashi was awesome as well and Somsak - Monshipour was just one of the greatest fights of all time. EVER. Great video!

Toney vs Jirov one of my all time favs. To make a comment on the score cards, I personally had Toney up 3/4 rounds because he was making Jirov miss a lot, yes he was throwing but that was it while Toney was placing his shots well. Someone has to win the round 10-9, even if someone does BARELY so I can understand 116-111 card. And I’m not mad if you gave the other guy the rounds it could easily be the other way around. Just my two cents.

A fade to my knowledge doesn’t mean “an exciting fight”… but most exciting fights that are fades are legendary. For example - I Literally just hit on a massive fade with Dubois vs AJ. A fade is basically the contrarian wager. Especially (anecdotally) when it’s an Emotional hedge. Eg I took dubious bc odds maker clearly don’t watch boxing and made Daniel a +350 dog. If it were a pickem I’d have taken AJ but I faded it bc the odds were preposterous. Was happy to lose bc it was an odds play, not a straight up wager. Unless I am completely out of the loop entirely on lingo hahah which is 100% possible if so my bad.

I mean looking at his record where you see the opponents last record doesn't do it justice. Broke his nose, fought 5 months later dethatched his retina, got surgery, fought before the eye fully healed 6 months later got ANOTHER EYE SURGERY... now he's left w/1 eye and that one barley works now as well, one of my favorite trilogies and 4 fights (even though his eyes and nose was done for the 4th) I know Frazier/Ali and Bowe/Holyfield is in the next one fasho

Lets be honest, GGG won the forst 2 fights EASY. Like theres no argument for Canelo in either of them even though he still fought a good fight. Then after boxing had once again shafted an Eastern European fighter on the cards and with the ref in the ring, Canelo fought him again after GGG had started losing a step. To try to make it seem like he did it the first 2 times as well, when clearly he got worked over by the far superior fighter. I'll never be a fan of Canelo after all his nonsense, and that "tainted meat" what horseshit. Just boxing taking care of their biggest earners yet again. Dude was juiced to the gills. Honestly the EE hatred from boxing is insane, so insane that I was absolutely positive they were going to give Canelo the win against Bivol. Had Canelo managed to land even 10 more punches I think theyd have handed it to him on a platter. Yet we all witnessed a systematic destruction of him. We watched Loma, GGG get absolutely raped by boxing and judges on the cards...just brutal shit. Its pathetic. They really need to take a nuke basically EVERY promoter, judge, most od the refs, absolutely all of the people behind the scenes. It needs a hard restart. I'm tired of watching guys clearly win and lose because of corruption when they are putting their entire way of life on the line everytime out.
