The part that kills me in Marc's plays is when he enthusiastically says how good trades were and all I see from my diamond3 perspective is huge mech losses and how I would already leave the game if it was me. :D I don't know about other races, but man TvT trades are so stressful to play and watch^^

And here we have continuous scrappy fights with whatever you have. And Marc seemed like sometimes had bare minimum to hold in some fights:) Very fun to watch… and stressful 😅

Thermy here is my inspired idea for a challenge: put different openings, units and timings on some dice and roll them before a game. Whatever comes up, you have to make work. E.g. d1: early expand/proxy/bongcloud/etc d2: reaper/cyclone/Thor/battle cruiser/etc d3: all in/macro/etc. this would leave you with proxy Thor all in, or early expand macro hellion, and then you just have to take those concepts and make it work. My examples aren’t great but I can leave the details to you mr. streamer, but I think this would be a lot of fun, push your creativity (a new improvised build concept each game), and be beat to watch. You could also use a “spin the wheel” generator to make each selection. Spin the wheel to GM. Hope you see this and hope that it plants a seed. GL, you’re the GOAT!!

@uThermal I HAVE THEORIZED SOME NEW TECH. why don't you bring a pack of SCV's to the command center before its finished. if you time it right, you have 5 total i believe are able to fit into the command center. before it lands drop them out land and use them as a bait/repair team. This obviously i think only works if you land at the natural because you have to have units to defend the svcs or they just die like the mule but i think its worth trying and could be an incredible play.

Tired of all these "BEST ... EVER". Videos are in general great but these clickbait headings started to be really annoying. I guess someone can count the # of so-called "best ever" games and find out that there are maybe a few dozens of them. Sorry but it's really too much

So I checked both of his channels which consist of 646 videos and he has said best ever only 11 times when it comes to his own play - five of these were debatable as they referenced best games of specific series, not in general (also not including saying "putting the best zerg against the best protoss", etc for pro play games) which is 1.7% of his total videos over 3 years. That's a pretty small amount tbh and also not quite a dozen, much less a few dozen :D

If we look at the proportion of these BEST EVER games to videos that were made in the last year (let's approximate it to be half of all videos), we will get almost 15,5%, which is a ridiculous number. My point is that these headings only devalue the quality of videos, and I cannot understand why uThermal uses them. As far as I can see, these videos didn't get more views than others, so what's the point? Maybe it can work for attracting the initial audience, but now the core of audience is already formed, and I find it a little disrespectful to old members of his channel to name videos like this.

I think he rides the line of playing the clickbait game well. If you want to attract viewers I think you unfortunately have to play the clickbait game in the ultra-competitive world of KZbin. I only found him originally because of a clickbait title, and now I watch all of his videos.
