The Greatest Power Of God Submits Only To Devotion | Indira Gandhi VS Sathya Sai Baba

Smt. Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India from 1966 to 1977 and again from 1980 till her death in 1984. Described as the 'Iron Lady', she was known for being a tough personality. However, there was at least two occasions when she wanted things to happen in a certain way and they didn't because Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba didn't permit them to happen that way!
These two episodes from the 1970s show the infinite wisdom, and perfection of the Lord's ways. Most importantly, they show the love and compassion Swami has for His devotees - Sri Gopal Rao and Sri Rama Brahmam in these cases. It becomes clear that the greatest power in the universe is God but even that power bows to Bhakti or devotion.

Beautiful and powerful conclusion. Yesterday during mantras to Mahadevi I got feeling that due to continues unbreaking bhakti love God not only rush to help but cannot separate Herself/Himself from devotee and experiences devotee's everyday life, every its aspect. Sairam! The incident I relate happened sometime in the mid to late 70's during Swami's visit to Chennai. I was then in the Sevadal and we had a group interview with Swami. There Swami told us that Smt Indira Gandhi had sent a request to meet Him late in the evening to which Swami told her to come and sit in the darshan line. She answered she did not want people to know and so to grant her a private audience after Darshan was over. Swami clearly told us that He refused her request. I think this happened after her electoral defeat in 1977.

True brother, Sai always reaches to his devotee in their distress. Just now, night 11.30, my son Sathya got held up in office due to rain. All had left except Sathya and security. When I knew about it, I prayed to Swami to help Sathya reach his PG. Don't know from where, a person in scooter came and gave him a lift. I told my son, it was Swami who had come at the time of distress, Jai Sai Ram

I have something more told by my grandfather. He told me that when Indira Gandhi Ji died then at that moment - say just few minutes before Swami was in the classroom with the students. After spending some time with the students, He paused, got silent, signaled something and made some actions, indicating some shooting was going on - He even said some words. He made actions with hands and said - Chali Gayi, Chali Gayi and He got very contemplative saying those words. Students got disturbed and asked Swami to explain why He made those actions and who left. Swami didn't say anything and then said, "PM Indira is no more." Swami said that even before the news was on TV, even before the news was on Radio, and even before the news was in the newspapers- just imagine there were no telephones, smartphones, internet, social media, digital technology - nothing at all but Bhagwan came to know of her death right at the time when she was shot dead exactly at the same time He told the students that she passed away. He also told the students to not tell that to anyone but those were kids, so some kids are sensitive and news spread out there. My grandfather was there in Prashanthi Nilayam when he came to know about this incident of Swami telling something happening far away. Smt Indira Gandhi Ji was one of the strongest, determined, and headstrong Prime Minister of India. No person is perfect, she did take some wrong decisions which didn't go well with many but again if you look at her personal life, she took spiritual interest in meeting saints like Sri Anandamayi Maa. Autobiography of a Yogi made Sri Anandamayi Maa very popular but even before that Maa was very popular and many people, big Sadhakas and Yogis were attracted to Her spiritual aura.
