It's weird receiving this in my recommended without knowing how the game works. This video is like: "If I add a face multiplier to the elbow mechanic, I get a dot that can be added to a die. Should I do that now, or should I de-increment the incremented dice pool to get the overflow region." Tons of stuff I don't understand, but there are some big numbers in this video, so that's cool.

Not so sure, Dicey Dungeons has a LOT of RNG, and it honestly feels kinda rigged. I´ve lost track how many times i failed runs just because i kept rolling absolute trash. Its more luck than strategy

@@Barrabbazz aaannd the point is to find a way to minimze RNG. Your real enemy isn't the monsters but RNG sadly if you bad rng the minimizing of rng then ripperinos. They should really put more like 4 or 5 items instead of 3.

The very best die is the (1/4 20%) with the multiplier on non numeric faces perk, i it is worth 25x the entire roll when maxed to 99x and it's also a lotto die so gets the bonuses just as any lotto die

Not sure if this comment already exists. But when he bought the slot machine passive (around 14:15) it also allowed him to putthe multipliers on the lottery faces, so he could have had a x10 effect on his 77777 dice.

Nerd time: When he had 1132 rolls left (6:07) he was left with a mere 34 points to his name. By the time he got to 812 rolls remaining (33:07) he has gotten 10^20. To put those numbers into perspective, that's a jump from 34 to a half a million million billion in 320 rolls! If he could've had that pace (320 rolls for multiplying your amount by 10^19) for the entirety of the 2500 rolls you get, he would've ended his run with a whopping 10^148 points! That's more than 7! Yay big numbers

If the game dev reads this, could you add a quality of life change showing in the shop if you have enough money to buy an upgrade? (maybe just an too expensive in the upgrade description or coloring the upgrade red) and another thing, rainbow digits in pairs of 3 would be very nice to have for the costs < 1e16 so you can more quickly identify how much it costs Also upgrade "tiers" would be funny for a new mode, like legendary upgrades that are a lot more rare xD

It has one, but light and dark theme are subjective preferences. Also on certain display types (for example, DLP projectors) light theme can be much clearer than dark theme.

TYLER! Some important notes about the previous roll multiplier: it DOES NOT work with faces which multiply the entire roll. So don't use it with wilds, total roll multipliers, or 1/4 lottery total roll multipliers. Everything else will work fine though. Also, void faces are FANTASTIC with previous roll multipliers, because it allows you to get the 2x void effect twice! (once on the previous roll, twice on the previous roll multiplier.) And of course, previous roll multipliers do not chain with themselves. (i.e. they do not stack if you roll a previous roll multiplier twice in a row, only the first one ever has any value)

Thanks tyler, I got 32th place because of this strat. Also took note of the other comments and added multipliers on the lotteryfaces. You really need to get lucky on the passives though, scavenger hunter on the 1-3rd first choices of passives should be there, otherwise, it's botched for a top 100 run.
