No Rebecca didn't sing the song. It was sung by Loren Allred even the movie soundtrack CD has her name written in the credits.

The voice is Loren Allred but Rebecca Ferguson was actually singing there along to Loren Allred's voice. She wasn't just lip-synching she was singing there but we hear Loren over her. There I solved everyone's problem explaining it.

Rebecca Ferguson actually sang the song for the cast and crew, she didn't lip sync, but the producers (Ms. Ferguson knew going in) had already planned on having Loren Allred do the official version.

I really appreciate your reaction to this song, and if you know, or I missed it or someone else posted it.....for as beautiful is this song and as beautifully as it is sung....Rebecca Ferguson, the actress singing it onstage is not the singer singing it behind the scenes. The singer who dubbed the song for the actress above, who is playing Jenny Lind, a Swedish singer in the 1800's who took NYC by storm, and chose to work with PJ Barnum, or Hugh Jackman, here....and it is said they had an affair. Anyway, the woman singing this is, in truth a woman called Lauren Allred, who was an American Idol or X Factor contestant, am not sure which talent show she did...but was plucked to do this song in this film. Rebecca Ferguson did a great job dubbing it as you can see she is singing along, her neck muscles moving, etc...but it's not her voice. You can find her sining it on KZbin...the real voice. Rebecca actually sang the song first, then Loren sang to match Rebecca’s singing style. It was always the producers intention to have a 2nd singer. After listening to Loren sing the song by herself on stage and then going back to the movie version I can hear voice alterations and hints of Rebecca coming through, especially in the less difficult sections of the song. This expert sound mixing is done to convince the audience watching the movie that it’s actually Rebecca’s voice. Great Job, i was convinced. Rebecca can really sing in real life....just not this good, no where near. Also, great job to both the Rebecca & Loren....and the people behind the greatest showmen for giving us such an amazing piece of cinematic entertainment, and by far one of my favorite songs of all time!
