Tobias Engbers I think what they mean is the version you hear is Loren (singer) not Rebecca. She did sing whilst filming but it isn’t her voice you hear. @davidsinnott18945 жыл бұрын
Kind of silly to say it deserved to win over La La Land, when A) La La Land famously lost best picture, and B) they weren’t even eligible in the same year, La La Land was the 2017 ceremony and The Greatest Showman was the 2018 ceremony. Also, I wonder if you’re aware that the songs from La La Land and The Greatest Showman were written by the same writers, Benin Pasek and Justin Paul.

Bit of a long sad story here but when Barnum made that face when looking at her I instantly recognised it and my heart broke. My mother and father split due to my dad falling in love with another woman and eventually cheating on my mother. (I was the one who found them out). I was in the cinema when watching this for the first time and I audibly cried out the word “No” when I saw this unveil before my eyes and I couldn’t stop crying. Luckily Barnum came to his senses and went back to his wife and kids. I was not so lucky and I now have a step mother who stole my father from my mother intentionally. He left us all and took nearly all our money. We lost our house and moved into a tiny two bedroom apartment. (I have two younger siblings as well). My mum was finding it incredibly difficult to support us all even with two jobs and it didn’t help that her heart had been shattered. So at the age of 17 I quit college and got two jobs. Night shift at McDonald’s and a day job at Primark. I was exhausted but my mother and I together were able to keep my siblings in school and well fed and warm. 3 years later and we are well rid of my father and out of danger from facing the streets. I have a family of my own now. I got married at 19 to the love of my life whilst 4 months pregnant and we now have a daughter of who is 6 months old. (I’m 20 now, my husband is 24). This song has actually become a favourite of mine as a strive to become a much better parent to Alice (my daughter) than my Dad was to me and my younger siblings. My mum found happiness again and actually remarried this past January. It’s been a joke in the family that I got married before my mother. I am still in contact with my dad but I have little respect for him. So sad story but happy ending for us and don’t judge me for getting pregnant and married at a young age, my husband and I both knew what we were doing and what we wanted. I am studying online to get my qualifications that I missed out on.
@marialilyquiamco69214 жыл бұрын

[Verse: Jenny Lind] I'm trying to hold my breath Let it stay this way Can't let this moment end You set off a dream with me Getting louder now Can you hear it echoing? Take my hand Will you share this with me? 'Cause darling without you [Chorus: Jenny Lind] All the shine of a thousand spotlights All the stars we steal from the nightsky Will never be enough Never be enough Towers of gold are still too little These hands could hold the world but it'll Never be enough Never be enough [Post-Chorus: Jenny Lind] For me Never, never Never, never Never, for me For me Never enough Never enough Never enough For me For me For me [Chorus: Jenny Lind] All the shine of a thousand spotlights All the stars we steal from the nightsky Will never be enough Never be enough Towers of gold are still too little These hands could hold the world but it'll Never be enough Never be enough [Post-Chorus: Jenny Lind] For me Never, never Never, never Never, for me For me Never enough Never, never Never enough Never, never Never enough For me For me For me [Outro: Jenny Lind] For me

He was never falling for her. He was greedy. He saw this as another way for him to be successful and Charity knew that. She saw her husband slipping away from the life they had, trying to find bigger opportunities

Yeah. I agree. He is ambitious and that made him forget about the real prize of life which is family. For that moment at least.

I first saw this in the cinema with no previous knowledge that Rebecca Ferguson would be lip synching, I hadn’t seen any interviews beforehand, I wasn’t even entirely sure what the movie was going to be about. So when I first watched I genuinely believed it was her, she does a flawless job. It wasn’t until I got home and sought out more of Ferguson singing that I discovered this was performed by Loren Allred, so props to both singer and actress. Pulled it off seamlessly. However, now I’m curious as to whether Ferguson can sing? She has a lovely speaking voice, would be interesting to hear her sing. Perhaps she can, just not on the same level as Allred... 🤔

You know I think many people understand that the song itself is not describing the singer herself being greedy or a spoil person. It actually telling the husband that he was getting greedy and the lyrics was describing him of his future if he was to continue being control by greed. In other words the lyrics was the husbands reflection of hus greedy self if he was to not realize it or decides to be greedy. Pretty good to show a character that blind by something to have a singer on stage telling you your road of happiness. 👍👍👍👍

He technically didnt cheat. She kissed him on purpose because he wanted to go home to his family and she liked him. He had an infatuation with her cause of the fame and glory
