A lot of the facts in this video are wrong. For instance, his Mother gave him the pendant with the musical note. Not his Grandparents. He was also much younger when he started singing at home. Those are just a couple of examples, there were many more. I appreciate the attempt to honor Steve anyway. Steve Perry was, is, and will always be the greatest singer on this Earth, IMO. Rock on Steve, we still love you and always will. From one of your biggest fans I say "Thank You" for the many years you dedicated your life to our entertainment. Your sacrifices do not go unnoticed. 💜

Yeah…the last name change timeline is incorrect as well, and he’s pronouncing names wrong. I don’t like seeing these inconsistencies because so many new fans believe them and perpetuate the falsehoods 😣

You should listen to "traces" listen to "I NEED YOU" "IN THE RAIN" "YOU BELONG TO ME" His voice is more raspy but Steve has masterd the sound. Those songs I mentioned are bone chilling because there's a story behind the songs

I really wish you would do some research before you do a report like this. I’m five minutes into the audio and they’re already so many facts that are not correct. For instance, it was not 1976 when Steve had decided to give up on his music dream. It was 1977. Also, Journey aka the Golden gate rhythm section was formed in 1972, not 1973. Neal has even stated this in several interviews as has Herbie Herbert. Also, it is not true, that no one participated in naming the band. They received several suggestions, however, most of them were not appropriate and utterly ridiculous. In addition, to that note, the bands name was changed in mid 1974, way before they had Fleischman or Perry. Herbie did not secretly start looking for another vocalist while Fleischman was in the band. He had already known about Steve Perry for well over a year. He was already considering Steve, but he already promised the job to Fleischman. This is ridiculous. You need to get your facts straight problem is so many people are gonna listen to this. I think it’s real information and it’s not.

So, this is primarily click bait. First: The cover says, "he can't even sing in the shower" which is not only a lie - it isn't stated in the video. Secondly, it states that Steve never believed in 'love' - another lie as virtually all of his songs reveal. Additionally, there are too many mistakes here to cover them all. When he first started 'dating' Kelly Nash, she was clear of any cancer and was hoping for a life of remission. This failed to happen. The video states otherwise. This is a 'bad dog' video. If you want truth - you are unlikely to find it here.

Actually, Steve said he knew as young as 5 YEARS OLD that he wanted to be a singer; after hearing the song "Cupid" sung by R&B artist Sam Cooke.

I think Steve let people know what he wanted them to know, he discussed his family life, he discussed his personal life, why he didn't get into relationships and why the relationship with Sherrie Swafford never worked out, so when he was asked he would answer, yes he is a very private mysterious gentleman, and I think we should respect that, I mean I do. No one really knows Steve Perry except himself and the man upstairs, But what I do know is this man took Journey to heights im sure they never even imagined, I know he graced us all with his god gifed voice, he could belt out a song like no other performer, with pure emotion and power, that you would feel in your heart & soul, I believe he is a beautiful person inside and out just wanted to have a normal life and yes he fulfilled his dream and as he said it was magical but sometimes being on the top isnt everything that its craked up to be, so why should everyone think it's weird & wonder why he decided to walk away from fame, 🤷, I'm sure he did a lot of soul-searching and realized that it's not the way he wanted his life , always in turmoil, always on the road, never no privacy, I wouldn't want my life to be that way, I say kudos to Steve Perry,, he will always be the BEST singer and I admire him tremendously. And also his fans love him tremendously and he will always be in their hearts for sure.. Alot of facts are wrong, I wish before stuff like this is posted they have all THE FACTS straight. The details and information about Steve Perry are jumbled and often incorrect with the actual facts easily found in interviews with Steve Perry from back in the day. The pronunciation of many names sound like they're in a foreign language. But most people know that anything related to Steve Perry will draw the most views so they put up headlines and posts with Steve Perry's name front and center with a cobbled up mishmash of half true information. At least the pictures, all though nothing new, are nice to look at. But essentially this is click bait at its finest. The title doesn't even make sense or get explained in the clip.
