Seeing your original complete game "speedrun" (if you can even call anything involving this game a speedrun) gave me the drive to sit down and finish it a few years ago. Consistency is the key-word that makes the Dragonair sound absolutely psychotic. If you manage to Paralyze it/reduce it's ability to spam Dragon Rage, your chances of winning are still a paltry, like, 20%. But it's a consistent 20%. Whereas the Alakazam has a 3% chance of victory; if by some miracle you *DO* handle the 'Zam, your chances of winning the battle will shoot up immensely. But it is just *way* more likely you can play around the Dragonair. (And I mean likely in the technical sense, this thing can still fuck you six ways to Sunday even when hindered lol)

If anyone needed any more confirmation on how crazy this was, that win put him an hour ahead of the split he was running against. As someone who also plays Stadium way more than they should (currently hunting a shiny Amnesia Psyduck with Transfers), its an understatement to say that this battle was insanely lucky. That Lapras is the GOAT!! Edit: For additional context, I know tournaments take me about 20 minutes for all 8 battles for Round 1 Pika. Assuming this calculation isnt too off for Werster's runs, that means he saved 4 tournaments worth of time (not counting using a continue on a loss)

Nah, it's not hyperbole. It's almost luck based. In fact, the team Werstwe faced is on the "easier" side because if Fisher brought lvl 20 Alakazam rather than Dragonair, there would be very little that Werster could do. Totally up to the CPU to fumble
