The Greatest Usopp Theory Ever

Didn't realize I'd get a good amount of "Zoro didn't get anything in Wano and Franky didn't get anything in Egghead" comments so I thought I'd address them real quick. Zoro, imo, did get things in Wano. He got Enma (Oden's Blade), Conqueror's Haki + ADV Conqueror's Haki, King of Hell Mode (Green Flames), and even Hiyori in a way lol. Sure we didn't get character growth some people were expecting but I think that's okay, and even then, Wano was never tied to his dreams as heavily as Usopp and Elbaf. Zoro wanted to visit Wano but his dream is to become the WSS and beat Mihawk. Saying that Usopp won't become a brave warrior or that Oda will neglect Usopp because of this isn't a fair comparison. Also, if Zoro got a new blade in Wano,, doesn't that dictate that Usopp could get a new weapon?? Using the Zoro comparison doesnt work since he legit got things. Franky, alright so this one is a bit different. Egghead should've been Franky's arc BUT Egghead isn't even an island anymore. That place got burned down in the span of a day. The SHs showed up and IMMEDIANTLY had to fight CP0 and Seraphim only to get a short break to THEN FIGHT the Gorosei and 30k marines. I don't see how Franky would've had any time to get alot of growth in that scenario. BUT now that we have left Egghead with a survivor of the island (LILITH VEGAPUNK) I still believe that he can get some upgrades. Small or large, I think Franky will still get some takeaway. We also have to remember we packed Vegapunk's boxes on the Thousand Sunny as well. And even it isn't his arc in the end, it wasn't tied to his dreams since he just wants to create the Ship of Dreams. I think it's always fun and fine to do theories like this where we are hopeful that good things will happen to characters like Usopp. If a theory doesn't come true then there's nothing wrong with that either. That's why it is simply a theory! Don't take it too seriously and get upset or lash out at people having fun!

Loki is a weak, cowardly liar who doesn't fit in with the other giants, he probably has a negative view of himself. Usopp meets him (probably not knowing he's king of Elbaf) and they become friends. Usopp gets upset that someone like Loki who is a literal powerful giant can feel the same way he does about himself, useless. He feels compelled to help and be a mentor/role model for Loki. He'll act like an ideal warrior of the sea even though he's still terrified. Through this journey I think Usopp will come to terms with what being a great warrior is truly about to him. @@saradaharunoofthesharingan1028 One of G5’s biggest drawbacks is the stamina issue, so maybe Luffy has to fight someone and due to his stamina limit Usopp has to step in for him while Luffy recovers and finish the job. If it’s just Luffy and Usopp vs whoever the it is, it basically forces Usopp into a corner to where he can’t run and he has to protect his captain which I think could be a really massive turning point for him, because iirc he’s pretty much ran away at the beginning of every fight he’s been in, except for when he challenged Luffy at Water 7. Idk it doesn’t sound super grandiose but I could see a little something along that line, just a lot better written😭

I think personally there's only two ways this can go Either he gets training like luffy But instead of it just being Based on expanding the usage of haki It would also warrant the conflict between other users of it. Considering everything the giants know it would make sense that animals on that island can use it as well. Maybe not to such a high level as some other people, but it would make sense that they can. So imagine usopp Needing to expand the Potency of his haki. Strictly to penetrate them but also expanding The use of his observation and maybe even gaining a new ability of it

I like all of these ideas, with one caveat: my favorite thing about Usopp's character is his intelligence and ingenuity when it comes to creating, not just his weapons, but anything else he needs in a pinch. He also has a history of taking existing items and improving upon them somehow in ways that Franky does not as a creator himself, who's primary focus is in modifying himself and creating vehicles to be more of a Tank than a nimble offensive fighter. What I would like to see is a return to Usopp's roots where he takes everything he's gathered over the course of the story and learned from in order to create his weaponry and perhaps improves upon an existing weapon in Elbaf like Mjolnir or Gungnir (or both?), or perhaps those weapons are in need of repair and he figures out not only how to do that but to also make them better and more creative/ingenious. Usopp's mind has always been his often forgotten strength due to his own poor self image, and I've always felt like he's always come just short of his full potential in that arena and like he's been gradually gathering skills, knowledge and confidence with the ultimate endgame of putting it all together into something awesome and perhaps, if we are dealing with a living weapon, something only he can tap into/gain the respect of. His pop greens are kind of a disappointment to me, because it felt like a reduction in his inventiveness, but in many ways my hope is that they are much like the dials from skypiea: not the endgame when it comes to his inventiveness for weapons, but a piece of the ultimate puzzle.

A spear also really suits Usopp, as most of Usopp's fights have (unfortunately) been fought at close range so far. So, having a melee weapon that still creates a fair bit of distance, that can also become a projectile, feels extremely fitting.

I think a good Usopp upgrade would be future sight combined with a Impact/Reject dial since they are basically just Captain America’s vibranium shield but have Offensive capabilities. So instead of Usopp getting Mjölnir, i would really like to see a Impact dial Shield, and have it be a relic of some kind where the user takes no recoil damage. I personally Want this to happen but i think whats going to happen is he gets the Hammer.

The Tontatta are not the only dwarves in the series, there’s robot dwarves on the moon. They could have made Mjölnir since the moon kingdom was pretty advanced . Usopp could also get an item that turns him into a giant, because when Thor went fishing for Jörmungandur and got him on the line, Thors foot broke through the boat and touched the bottom the ocean(it is believed he grew in size and became a giant).

Usopp’s Observation Haki was revealed in Dresrossa when he had to save Luffy from Sugar. It has never been talked about since. So if he hones his Observation Haki he will be able to predict where Van Auger will teleport to and just shoot there. It might happen in Elbaf or it might happen when the Straw Hats and Blackbeard Pirates fight.

As most know, Usopp's lies have a way of turning into reality down the line. I feel the fact that his nose doesn't grow shorter each time his lies become reality is a missed opportunity as it's obviously in reference to Pinocchio. After each training arc at least as he comes closer to reaching his goal of being a mighty warrior of the sea. I have no problem with his character design, but it would fit so well and who doesn't love a glow-up?

And as for magic hammers, whatever they decide to call it in OP, he and Nami could perform combo attacks, supercharging the area with electricity via a storm. If shanks can cancel out haki it only makes sense that he recruited Yassop (after getting his scar) because yassop was a sniper and had haki that can allow all of his crew members to see through his eyes or allows him to see through their eyes. Weapon wise , i can see ussop getting a Hammer aswell but instead of the hammer asking for a Good joke or Story i think the hammer will ask for someone who has the blood of a Buccaneer

Maybe the nickname “chaser” is from yassopp using conq haki to re-direct the projectile. Since shanks was able to control his conq haki from such a far range in the wano arc. Or its insane observation haki that gives yassopp future sight too
