Today is a great day. I have been watching World Trigger for years now, and to conclude the Rank Wars feel unreal. Im glad that we were able to get a great adaptation and more than anything I am thankful for you all. I pray that Ashihara has a good year with his health, and we continue to get more great things in the World Trigger manga as well. Again that you guys for your support, and I hope you all enjoyed the finale!

The comment about Mikumo's lack of trion was a little bit more interesting than that. If his trion level was normal Ninomiya would have noticed that his "asteroid" shots were too weak (because hound has less firepower than asteroid). His trion levels being naturally low will hide that difference though, because anything he shots is relatively weak.

Especially the fact that Hyuse was doing the same thing. Hyuse disguised his Viper as Asteroid, but since it was so obvious to Inukai and his squad, they failed to notice Mikumo's Hound disguised as Asteroid. It's the same principle as his Spider. You use obvious colored wire traps to disguise more hidden traps.

@@DivisonXx In Hyuse's case it was exactly the other way around. His trion level is so high that his Viper firepower was mistaken with Asteroid. Even so it only worked because nobody really knew that he probably has more trion than Ninomiya. Ninomiya for example couldn't fool anybody this way because they know what to expect from his asteroid. In Mikumo's case everybody knew he was weak but it is really hard to distinguish between bullets if they all are very weak.

Im trying to remember when was the last time mikumo survived a whole match but it's cool he finally got a big moment especially against ninomiya. Also yeah chika undisputed mvp, imo she saved the whole match cuz if mikumo wasn't there with his suprise I think they would have lost 100%. One thing I wondered is if ninomiya intentionally didn't use the telepathy thingy when giving the order to go after chika so that mikumo could hear it and maybe drop his guard a little. Anyways great episode and great video really enjoyed this season and weekly video thanks!!

Round 2 against Suwa Squad and Arafune Squad is the only other round he survived. And it's cool that it was in the same fashion as Round 8, by shooting Suwa with a well-timed Asteroid after moving Suwa right where he needed (with Kuga catching the enemy's attention in both two, except Yuma being the final attack for Nino)

@@YozakuraSensei indeed we all hope XP tho thinking about it rn, not like episode 14 was bad at all, but I think i was overhyped a bit because the sequences that actually had mikumo and chika shoot [ie chika's bullet travel and mikumo swinging his arms out] felt kinda overanimated... I can't draw for shit, so I'm probably just gonna end up doing a shitty sketch storyboard or something to get my alternative across XP editto: looking at it again, chika's shot seems mostly fine [i just dislike the extra sparks they added because it doesn't actually do anything], just the timing seems off osamu's arm swing tho

I expected Chika’s shot to be a bit extra given the nature of the moment, but if anything I can really appreciate how before The “we win” part came out, it got really quiet making it super intense and suspenseful. Whoever SB that episode understood the assignment for the most part I’d say

What is so cool about Round 8 is how each member of Tamakoma 2 brought something new to the table and how each of them has hid it for so long just to use it at the exact time to help earn a point. Hyuse- Viper Mikumo- Hound Kuga- Scorpion Pinball Chika- Normal Sniper Bullet It goes to show how they really tried hard to win this round knowing most of their tactics and tricks are known to many and are very wary of it they really innovated just to get that advantage.

Yeah, there were ways she could have changed it (meteor the size of a mini fridge left under a desk) but I suspect that beyond being emotionally exhausted she had actually finally run down her trion with all those heavy barrages.

I'm very satisfying with this 3rd season. The Rank war wraped up and ended with important improvements from Mikumo and Chika, alongside with the overpowered newbie(?) that everyone have to take down like Hyuse and another greater fighting showcase from Kuga and another agents that come up with their powers and tactics. Thanks for everyone that involve in this masterpiece. I will live and wait to see the next season. (also new chapter for manga)

Inukai shooting Chika was interesting on two fronts. Chika apparently came over her fear of shooting people but she doesn’t even attempt to attack Inukai. Than Chika walks off as if her goal was to not to see herself getting killed. But also Inukai didn’t need to shoot Chika. He mentioned the Nino squads ranking wouldn’t be affected, but he could have potentially messed with Mikumo’s score as if Inukai was capable of taking out both Osamu and Kuga than he would have taken the survivor bonus from Osamu. Ninomiya’s response implies he gave Osamu the right to go on the away squad.

not really, takamoma 2 ended with 3 more points than kageura squad if im not wrong, so they would still be second place even without the survival points

Even if Inukai wipe out Osamu and Yuma earning that survival point, Tamakoma-2 already No.2. They score 4 kill points which make it 40, while Kage score 3 in previous match. So the tally is 40 (tamakoma), 39(Kage) Another situation, had Chika choose to kill inukai, tamakoma and Ninomiya squad will share 43 points each, but of course the higher rank squad last season will be on top. So there's not much difference anyway..

Chika's a sniper. She basically had the same reaction that Ema had in round 4 after Ninomiya chased him into the building. If she ran away Inukai would chase her and keep firing until her shield eventually got worn down. No matter how much trion she has it still would have happened. Tamakoma 2nd achieved their goal so she let it happen.

Really this finale didn't disappoint in the slightest. Your analysis of the this episode made me understand some of the elements I wasn't super clear on (especially the Hound Bullet explanation). My favorite moment in this episode was the "We win." line. I've always loved the dynamic between Mikumo and Kyosuke and Ninomiya's take down showed the fruits of both their labor. Their dynamic is my favorite in this series. This last episode made me want to make a really in depth analysis video about this series as a whole. The world building, the characters, and the strategy all come together to make an amazing story, and the better animation is just the icing on the cake for me. Thanks for spreading the love on this series and will be watching more of your videos :)

I think she was just really winded at that moment, forcibly overcoming her anxiety at that moment might have just wore her out so I gave that the benefit of the doubt, kinda funny moment too tbh 🤣 inukai did not care

Chika not shielding herself is cause if she did, Inukai would eventually wear her shield down if she ran and he chased after her. It's similar to how Ema just stood there and let Ninomiya destory him in round 4.

"We Win" was the pinnacle of 200iq plays. It starts really with Yuma telling Ninomiya that it's going to be Osamu who takes him down, because Osamu needs him doubting and planning. He's not getting through a shield, so he needs Ninomiya to plan for getting shot from behind while in full attack. He knows the counters to his attack and he needs Ninomiya to pick the one he can exploit. And then he serves Ninomiya _exactly what he was expecting to see_ - an attack with good timing but lackluster execution. Yeah, a veteran shooter would have scattered their bullets, except Osamu isn't going for inflicting some damage, he's going for _critical_ damage.
