A lot of people says we never seen a player like Caleb Williams but look,Malik can do everything Caleb can literally!

You missed a key thing Malik did in that last TD. Did you see #38 studder in the back field before the throw? That's because just before Willis threw that ball, he looked #38 off to clear the throwing lane, turned his head back and immediately threw the ball with perfect precision. The TV cut shows the head movement a lot better.

i'm a Liberty guy here just checking in. He's definitely improved as all knew he needed to as a raw talent. Aside from being a solid QB2 - he'll booster the already great young humble and hungry QB room. Always hated how he was thrown into the lions den for his first start in KC on Sunday night with zero WR/TE help a few years back. Glad for Malik and all you Cheeseheads !

He is without question much better than Clifford or Pratt. Willis never got a fair shake in Tenn to develop his skillset. He was thrown out there as a 3rd round rookie with no NFL experience and then benched when he didn't WOW consistently enough. He's had two full years to get acclimated to the NFL and has very good arm talent as well as athletic ability. He is a huge upgrade and steal for GB right before the season starts. I'm very happy that Gute pulled the trigger on this move.

We have benefited many times from crappy organizations being crappy, eg Rasul off AZ practice squad, fleecing Jets in the Rodgers trade, fleecing Raiders in Davante trade. Titans are nothing if not craptastic. It’ll be odd if Packers get the short end of this trade, an R7 for a talented QB who has languished with a bad franchise.

@2:55 (the first throw he covered), while it was a completion, it barely got in there. It was underthrown by at least a yard or two, maybe more. He was damn lucky to not have that knocked away or intercepted. @3:37 (2nd throw he covered), look, if Willis could have stared down that receiver any more than he did, I would have been shocked. He telegraphed that s*** all the way. He literally stood still in the pocket for like a second plus staring the whole time. It just happened to be a situation where the defense wasn't watching what he was staring at. @5:37, yeah he can scoot up the field when it's a plan run play. That's not always going to be successful but for a quarterback of his caliber he's going to have to be able to do that. That was a good play, running the ball though. @6:52, The little slant throat into the end zone for a TD was great. Simple, good timing and he threw the ball accurately. Listen when you get people trying to analyze like this who think they know s*** but they're only like 24 years old and they talk already like Joe schmo mainstream ESPN analysis type KZbinr guy, red flags should go off right away. But I figured I'd give it a chance, then I watch the video. He's cherry picking throws and then giving him too much credit while simultaneously not acknowledging the conditions or the context of the play. Am I totally ragging on Willis? No. Do I think he's some fantastic quarterback in this league? Hell no. I could have seen the same four plays from any number of second or third string QBs from a ton of different teams in the preseason this year. Especially with the amount of time he's had to ramp up in Green Bay I think it's a huge risk but the Packers were willing to go that way. That means, they see something better than at least Clifford or Pratt. My guess is, he might not even make it the whole year as a Packer. We'll see. But to the extent that this guy's an amazing second string quarterback like this video suggests, is absolutely ridiculous. He would struggle so hard out there on a real game day with starters in a regular season game. He would though, and up running the ball on quarterback planned runs A LOT.

Malik Willis is not an immediate upgrade. Watch the tape. This guy is not an NFL QB. There's a reason the Titans took a 7th round pick for a player they drafted in the 3rd in 2022. He's a run first guy who doesn't go through his progressions very well and locks onto a single target. Be wary. Malik ain't it.

This current GB management is just trash. First paying Love and Jacobs more than Rodgers/Jones was moronic. Now Willis isnt an upgrade and now doesnt know the playbook. We need a kicker. Worse yet is we finally got an offense after 8 years, and now got over paid Dak 2.0 as starting QB and Jamarcus Russell as QB2. They'v been finding better talent in 7th round, what they just gave up for Willis than drafting 1st round Projects since 2019.
@davidbrown73575 ай бұрын

Love blew out Dak and has shown the clutch factor. Idk why you’d compare him to that guy. It was time to move on from Rodgers period, the era was essentially ending when Adams moved on & he didn’t want to show up to training camp to get the rookie WRs on the same page. And Jones was too often injured for his impact to be truly felt and would still fumble in key moments in playoffs. The management has been decisive and effective for the most part. Although I do agree we shouldn’t go for as many 1st round project players. Not when we are contending.
