The Greenstones - The old Zimbabwe ghost

The Greenstones were two musicians from New Zealand, Dave North and Okke Hansen, who had heard about Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), its hospitality and the warmth and friendliness of all its peoples, and they then decided to tour the country. After meeting up with John Edmond they stayed on for some time and recorded the album “Life In Rhodesia” in 1974. All the songs were written by John, and he also arranged the album. The Greenstones then visited South Africa where they toured the country with Four Jacks & A Jill.
